That's relieving, thank you. My mom has always told me to wrap my pads tight and dead-knot it in a plastic bag, so I guess I learned to be paranoid!
Ooh, that's a good idea, especially with winter coming. Thanks!

Re: Period Kit Supplies
My workplace does not dispose of trash bins as often as they should, so I would be worried about binning blood stained wet wipes... (Though I suppose the same can be said about blood soaked pads...) What would you suggest? Tying them off in a plastic bag and throwing it out myself? The trash collect...

Period Kit Supplies
Hey guys, I have always had a period kit. Over the years, I've switched from using drawstring bags to pouches and I am currently using a cloth handbag. For school, the handbag or pouch was good enough but lately, I've been feeling like it's inadequate for my needs at work. I also went from living in...

Re: Toys and Mold
That definitely sounds doable. I already left the toy's care in his hands, I can most definitely leave the tossing to him. I suppose only gifts I can get him in this area would be stuff to be used on me only lol
Thank you, Heather

Re: Toys and Mold
I kind of feel disappointment, I suppose. I have not talked to him yet as he only told me about the mold a few hours ago (and it's 2am right now... I should be asleep LOL). I also don't feel like he's made the issue mine to deal with, more like he feels bad throwing it out because he likes it so muc...

Re: Toys and Mold
Thanks for the quick reply, Al. While that helps with my decision with this current one, what about the next toy we get, if we get another? What can I push him to do to keep it clean and dry and NOT leaving it in the shower (ewww)? A thin bottle brush and a special pouch for him? lol I have a feelin...

Toys and Mold
Hey guys, So I wasn't sure exactly where to ask this besides here as I know you guys are very open-minded and all questions are serious questions. This also concerns healthy choices, so I guess I'm in the right place anyway... We bought my husband a toy a while ago, fleshlight type. Unfortunately, h...

Gentle Moisturizing Lotion
Hi, This is my first winter and throughout the season, I've been suffering from extremely dry skin. I've been using Lubriderm for my body, but I've been worried about using it on my labia and perineum... yep, dry skin there too... Not only have I been itching like crazy from dry skin, but when they ...

Re: Figuring Out The Cup
I've never used a tampon before, so I wouldn't really know xD
I guess I'll just try... And hope I don't get chased out because of any naughty escaping bit of uterus lining!

Re: Figuring Out The Cup
So just my luck, my period starts just as I go on a road trip. And just before it started, I was told that the hotel we're staying at has a public hot tub. Excited, I packed my swim suit, even if it was in the middle of winter. I've never tried swimming or soaking in water during my period let alone...

Re: Figuring Out The Cup
All 3 doctors are connected through a medical system that they have going on here, so all 3 have access to the same information and findings from each doctor... kinda neat! And so much easier, but yes, I will be mentioning the possibility of blood clots to the rheumatologist. I'm only going to see h...

Re: Figuring Out The Cup
I tend to do laundry every 2 weeks... wouldn't soaking them for 2 weeks be a bad idea? XD I have been to a new GYN, yes. Only had one appointment with her so far. We didn't really discuss my flow being heavy as I was still on ocp when I saw her. That was when we decided I should stop, to see if thin...

Re: Figuring Out The Cup
I have not tried washable pads. It's not that I think cups are a superior choice, it's more about that whole "waterfall" feel that I'm thoroughly fed up with XD I have actually not stopped using pads and don't intend to completely stop, especially since a full, uninterrupted 8 hour sleep o...

Re: Figuring Out The Cup
Hah, that would be pretty awesome, but the festival was made to follow the "Renaissance" era, hence why I said "privies" because that was literally what they called it. I don't think the term "toilet" existed back then. It was my first time going to one, so my first imp...

Re: Figuring Out The Cup
I ask because on my heaviest day, within 2 hours, I felt uncomfortable and sort of... "heavy". With the discs, I found that I could leave it in for about 4 hours before I had to empty them. So when I tried the same with the cup, I found that 4 hours was way too long because I kept leaking ...

Re: How have you met your partners?
I met my hubby on an online browser game. It was not love at first meet, infact I was a bit scared of him at first! He was an older player (as in, been playing on that game for years and years, I was newer to the game) and was quite infamous. Everytime someone talked about him, they had strong feeli...

Re: Figuring Out The Cup
That's relieving to know. Even if such an injury was to occur, it would usually mean a LOT of pain that would continue throughout the day, right? That's what I kept telling myself to avoid a full blown panic anyway! Btw, is it possible to "feel" when the cup is full before it starts overfl...

Re: Figuring Out The Cup
Oh, interesting. I'll try that. I also tried sitting yesterday, it started hurting before the cup even got close to going in lol. So the strings of skin I kept finding is normal uterus lining and I don't have to worry? What causes it to come out like that anyway? It was weird, creepy and scary!

Re: Figuring Out The Cup
Ameliap: The Diva cup uses silicone, which is actually very similar in texture to TPE, so there wouldn't be much of a difference. Perhaps I held the fold too tightly to cause that sharp point! Either way, the punchdown is definitely not for me! As for being nervous, I started myself off with using d...

Figuring Out The Cup
Hey again, Finally bought myself a MeLuna and it arrived just before my period started, which was awesome! So far, I haven't had any effects that might be allergic reactions, so I guess TPE is an okay material for me! Really glad I didn't switch from pads straight to the cup too, as using discs real...

Re: Choosing A Menstrual Cup
I'm still undecided on whether I should go ahead and buy a MeLuna...
In the meantime, I'm curious about what happens when a cup or disc is too full, either due to extremely heavy flows or accidentally leaving it in for longer than 12 hours. Does the seal then break and overflow?

Re: Dealing With Periods After Stopping OCP
I am now finishing my period and I have good news! I stopped drinking juices and peach teas shortly after I started ovulation, though I had a couple cups of coffee during the week before I started bleeding (PMS had me so exhausted I just had to...). I started drinking a lot more plain water as well....
