Re: Skipping placebo pills to prevent a period?
Ahh ok I see. Thank you! Well even though I would prefer to not have my period while there, it wouldn't be the end of the world if I did. Thank you for the advice!

Skipping placebo pills to prevent a period?
Hello! I have been taking the pill for a few months now (I believe I am on my 4th pack currently) and so far I am loving it. It has reduced my formerly terrible cramps to almost nothing, and now my period is super predictable and regular. That being said, I already know that my next period will be o...

Reclipsen Question. "Same time every day" ?
Good Morning! I recently started birth control for the first time (i'm about halfway through my first pack) and I know that with the pill, its always good to take it "the same time every day". But what exactly does that mean? I have been taking it some time between 7:30 am and 11:30 am eve...

Re: Too Skinny
Thanks Heather! I have an appointment with my GP on Monday. In addition, using the timer has been working well for me. I am able to eat small amounts every 2 hours, and when combined they equal about the size of 3 normal meals per day. Of course this method isnt ideal, but its much better than the a...

Re: Too Skinny
I think that sounds like a great idea to try. Especially because I think I will eat more if I eat many small meals per day instead of trying to eat 3 larger meals. (since I get full so quickly) Im going to try that for a few days :) Also I will start looking into contacting a nutritionist for sure b...

Re: Too Skinny
There arent really any things that make me particularly more hungry.. sometimes when I am bored and not busy i will realize it though. And as far as situations that make me realize i havent eaten, there isn't much either. I suppose if the food is out in front of me, or someone offers to get me food/...

Re: Too Skinny
Yeah the body image stuff is for sure on the back burner because like I said, I am pretty happy with my body, but its become increasingly clear to me that I don't think I am eating enough which is my main concern. And I don't want to end up exaggerating anything by saying I only eat a few bites of f...

Too Skinny
All my life I have been on the thin side. Towards the end of middle school I really thinned out as I got taller but didn't really gain a proportionate amount of weight. Even through highschool I was pretty much stick thin. In addition I never really gained much in the boob department which made me a...

Re: Family Dinner Anxiety
Thank you! Its all over. I was anxious throughout the experience however my excitement ended up over powering it. The dinner went just fine. A litte awkward here and there but MUCH better than my mind was anticipating. I dont know why I put so much pressure on myself, but im working on changing that...

Re: Family Dinner Anxiety
Well I'm back,
im still feeling better about the whole situation, but wondering if there are ways to manage my anxiety in a more general context. Like when it gets bad suddenly and i feel short of breath and panicked, is there something i can do in that moment to diminish it?

As for the classism or whatever it may be, I know it isnt something he intends to be rude with, hes just kinda poking fun at me. however I do need to make sure he understands that what he thinks is poking fun does make me feel pretty crappy. __________________________________________________________...

Re: Family Dinner Anxiety
Thanks for the quick reply! And while I don't feel totally comfortable with pointing out the Elephant in the room, it doesn't sound like a terrible idea by any means, and might be worth trying. As far as my relationship with them: I love my boyfriend and I know he loves me. There has been a lot of t...

Family Dinner Anxiety
Tomorrow is my Highschool graduation and the only people attending (on my behalf) are my mom, dad, boyfriend of almost 4 years, and his mom. Call it weird, but his mom hasnt really ever talked with my parents that much over the course of highschool. Don't get me wrong, they've of course met eachothe...

Pooping a lot durring period
Really the title says it all. The first few days of my period, I poop very frequently along with terrible cramps. Sometimes I even experience diarrhea with my period, which is quite unpleasant. :? Are these kinds of changes normal durring one's period? Is there a way to prevent this? Or is it just p...

Seems quite obvious once you've phrased it that way! And you have a good point with the term "any risk". Thanks again. Love this site

Re: Condom Failure Confusion
Actually, I do have a follow up question. After ejaculation, if my partner did not hold the base of the condom before pulling out, however the condom did not slip off, is there any risk involved? Seems like this would make it possible for some sperm to escape at the base of the condom, but if it did...

Condom Failure Confusion
Hi! I've seen talk about this recently and I too am looking for a little clarification on this subject. Essentially what i've gathered is: Condoms can only fail through slipping or breaking, and assuming it was used properly, there should be no risk if neither of these things happened. Is the above ...

Re: Contraception: The best method?
Thanks squintern for sharing your experience!! I agree that logistics wise, the implant seems to be the best option for me so far. Its affordable and reliable, two things I really need. Its good to see someone who DIDNT have a bunch of strange side effects with their implant, because most of what I...

Contraception: The best method?
I was using the "Birth Control Bingo" article and it looks like the Implant is the best method for me. Before I make any decisions however, I'd love to hear about other people's experiences with the implant, or really and notable experiences with birth control that might help me make my de...

Re: Intimacy with my Boyfriend
Yes it does. I've written out a script of sorts :p (Its hard to imagine my parents reactions but Ive done my best) My biggest thing I want to accomplish is I want to make it clear to my parents that im not asking to have sex when I ask for alone time with my boyfriend. Sex isnt nessecary for our rel...

Intimacy with my Boyfriend
My boyfriend and I are both 17, he is almost 18 and we have been in a relationship for 3 years. We've been sexually active for a little more than a year and were both very comfortable with one another and expressing our wants, needs and limits.(both in the bed and out :p) We are both extremely respo...
