Re: Antibiotic and birth control

Thank you so much Elise! I will do so. Unfortunately, my body works like this with any antibiotic so I just have to endure it for a bit. But thank you so much.
Have a great day ❤️

Antibiotic and birth control

Hi guys, once again I come here asking for your help. I’ve read online that amoxicillin doesn’t interfere with birth control, however since I started with the antibiotic I’ve experienced some episodes of diarrhea and even vomit. So I think I should consider that it is indeed affecting my pill. How s...

Re: Pill effectiveness

Yes yes exactly, I’ve also read about that. And it wouldn’t make sense seeing that we can’t really predict when we will take antibiotics or not. Anyways thank you!! And sorry if it was a bit of a confusing question but it was just something that I thought about and I couldn’t get any clear informati...

Pill effectiveness

Hi guys, I don’t know if you’ll be able to answer me but I have read so many things that I don’t know what to believe in. I’m on the pill and this is my only birth control method since a couple of months. However I have a question about it that no one seems to know how to answer me properly. I’ve se...

Re: Nipple discharge

Thank you so much Mo! No, I don't have any other symptom, I was just scared because it was the first time it happened and, also, now everything is pretty much closed so it's more difficult to get an appointment with a doctor. Either way, thank you for your help. I've also read in my pill that it is ...

Nipple discharge

Hi guys, i've recently noticed some clear/transparent nipple discharge coming out of both my nipples after applying pressure. It's not much but it's not something I've ever noticed up until recently. I've had my period about a week ago after taking the pill for 2 months without interruption. I know ...

The pill

Hello guys! I had some busy days back in January since I started a new job so I decided to take the pill continuously during that month. It was the first time I did it. My period came normally in the day it should, however the flow is much lighter than it normally is and I’m experiencing some other ...

Double protection or not?

Hi guys! Once again, I come here to ask you for help. I've been together with my boyfriend for 3 years now and it's been great. I was a virgin when I met him so, throughout these 3 years, my sex life has been quite a journey - from pregnancy anxiety to pain during sex, I've experienced everything. N...

Re: Birth Control - Am I doing something wrong?

Yes, you're absolutely right! I'll change it this month :) No, it's just active pills and no placebo so during the break I don't take anything at all.

Thank you for answering so quickly!

Birth Control - Am I doing something wrong?

Hi Scarleteen! I've been on the pill since I was 16 and today while talking to my friends about birth control and the 7 days break, I realised that for six years I've been doing a 6 days break meaning (for example) I take my last pill on a saturday and start the new pill on the following saturday. I...

Re: Is this weird? Period question

Yes, we spoke about it and we decided it's best to not have sex during that week until I figure out why it happens. We've tried changing the position and with lube it gets better but still feels a bit uncomfortable. I think it's just how my body reacts...I don't know...

Is this weird? Period question

Hi guys! I know it's normal to feel more sensitive in the week before we have our periods but what I've noticed is that sex actually hurts a little. Is this normal? It's nothing that I can't endure but it's not normal either because it doesn't hurt during normal weeks. I'm on birth control so I know...

Re: Thank you!

Nothing like this had ever happened before and, to be honest, I didn't know I would react like this but I'm so so glad I changed. It's such a relief, I couldn't be happier. Once again, thank you for everything and I hope you can help a lot of people the way you helped me. It's fair to say that you c...

Re: Thank you!

No, Heather, it's alright! I wrote broken but I meant too big, sorry! We used a different type of condoms and my boyfriend said they didn't feel as tight as the others did but we never thought it would be enough for the condom to slip. We just need to go back to the previous brand and we'll be ok. I...

Hi, Scarleteen! Something happened today and it made me realise how important it was to share it with you. Birth Control

Hi Scarleteen,
I took my BC pill five hours late than normal because I was on a flight back home and took it right when it was possible. Is the effectiveness of the pill compromised? I read it wasn't, just wanted to be positive sure.

Re: Condom hurts my boyfriend

Ahaha got it! We'll get some lube and nonlatex condoms. We're going to the health appointment but I really doubt it will be a latex sensitivity cause we're both studying medicine and we both use latex gloves almost every day and have never experienced something like that. However, it won't do any ha...

Re: Condom hurts my boyfriend

Really? Oh God I feel so stupid now cause maybe that's it! After a few minutes, I also feel a slight burning sensation but I forget about it cause it's not really too uncomfortable. Maybe I'm experiencing the exact same thing as him (due to the lack of lubricant) but because he's wearing a condom it...

Re: Condom hurts my boyfriend

Thank you Heather, we'll do that and test him for a latex allergy! Sure, I don't want him to feel worse :( Also, can you please give me a bit more information about a nonlatex condom? Are they as safe as latex ones or do we have to have some other specific precautions? I'm on bc, but we both prefer ...

Condom hurts my boyfriend

Hi guys! I need your help. Everytime me and my boyfriend had sex, he complained about how the condom made him feel uncomfortable. We thought it was a size problem so we bough a slightly larger one and even though it fits him better, he still feels the same burning sensation and his penis gets really...

Re: Yeast Infection

Now that you told me that, I think I know why I had it. I have irritable bowel syndrome and it got a bit worse now. I've been studying since January for my university exams so my diet hasn't been really good and I've been feeling quite nervous, which tends to influence my condition. Since this happe...

Re: Yeast Infection

Ah ok, you're right! It'll take a bit of time. I think I'm a bit scared with this because I've had an yeast infection last month and, according to my new doctor, the former one didn't give me a complete treatment so I wasn't fully treated and I'm scared that'll happen again. I mean, I know it's an y...

Yeast Infection

I know you guys are not doctors and I'm sorry for the graphic description but I have a question. I've been diagnosed last sunday with a yeast infection and I'm currently taking some medicine for it: vaginal ovules, vaginal cream and fluconazole. I've been applying each egg every night and the same h...
