Re: Very confused
This isn't really something we can answer, and is veering right on the edge of our policy regarding not answering pregnancy anxiety questions. You may want to contact the manufacturer if you're not happy with the information they have provided. Othewise there's not much we can say. I understand wha...

Re: Very confused
It better to stick to the information given on the packaging. There are always 'stories' but the accurate official information is the only thing that's really relevant. It doesn't mention the colour of evaporation lines. It does however say a pregnant line should be a similar thickness to the contr...

Re: Very confused
Can an evaporation line on a pregnancy test be blue? I've heard conflicting information that evaporation lines have no colour , but then heard stories where people get a thin faint blue line believing it to be a positive result and its actually just an evaporation line....

Re: Thin barely visible line on cheap test?
The instructions that come with the test should tell you how to read it and what it means. Cheaper, own brand tests are as reliable as more expensive branded tests. You just need to follow the instructions for the particular test you have, because the instructions can be different from one brand to...

Thin barely visible line on cheap test?
So before I say anything else ive had a period since the risk. I thought id take a pregnancy test to be sure. What I would like to know is, in cheap shop's own brand tests is it normal to be able to see the pregnancy line very very thin and faint in the background? I've had a period so it would be r...

Re: Very confused
So is taking a pregnancy test 3-4 weeks after a risk definitely accurate?
Re: Periods
How regular should periods be? Mine is normally roughly every three weeks but it can vary .

Re: Would it be wise to be on birth control?
Well, I suppose one of us would move our hands. Like, we wouldn't discuss it out loud, unless we said no I guess.

Re: Would it be wise to be on birth control?
I'm not sure really. It's a joint decision I guess. But at the time it's happening I do feel comfortable with it. Its afterwards I'll start worrying.

Re: Would it be wise to be on birth control?
Yes I think that would be a good idea. Thank you. So, just pausing? Maybe as well that would stop me over-thinking afterwards stuff like 'was pre-cum on my hand when I touched there'... etc and freaking out about pregnancy.

Re: Would it be wise to be on birth control?
I guess in the heat of the moment, kissing can sometimes lead to me wanting to take things further at that time.

Re: Would it be wise to be on birth control?
So would the pill be the wrong step do you think? Yes it just gets heated in the moment. Is it damaging in any way though to keep wanting to do things and then ignoring it (due to the anxiety afterwards). I was thinking if I ignore these feelings now, when I actually am ready to act on them will I t...

Re: Would it be wise to be on birth control?
Well the anxiety is about pregnancy risks so just anything that makes me think could sperm somehow have been involved I guess. I just over-think it probably because a lot of the times ive worried haven't even been risky.

Re: Would it be wise to be on birth control?
Well kissing is fine. Its just other stuff where sometimes I over-think it, like was pre-cum on a hand, etc etc. Hes very nice and fine with it. I do tend to over-think things.

Re: Would it be wise to be on birth control?
Hmm I'd have to have a think about that. But, just sitting here on my own I'd feel more comfortable not engaging in such activities with my bf as I wouldn't have to worry and id be more calm (in this way things were more simple before that line was crossed). However, when I'm with him I feel differe...

Re: Would it be wise to be on birth control?
I didn't ask in the end but after further anxiety around sexual contact, I am now seriously considering asking about the pill as any worry (rational or not) about pregnancy causes me so much stress and that makes me unhappy. I've seen a lot of posts saying that if you experience anxiety due to such ...

Re: Clarification please
So to clarify, that would mean pre-ejaculate on a hand (even if it was inserted in the vagina) poses no risk? And does that also mean that traces of ejaculate wouldn't pose a pregnancy risk but that it would literally have to be a lot of fresh ejaculate stuck up there immediately?
Periods
My period normally lasts for six days but the one I've just had was late and lasted for only two days. What could be the reason for this?

Re: Clarification please
Thank you for such a quick response! You guys do great work educating people. I thought the reason might be that ejaculate is generally a bigger quantity than pre-cum which seems to be less liquid, but I see. Thanks again.

Hey there. I know you're not able to answer questions about pregnancy risks etc, and i really don't want to breach those rules (so if this counts as doing so, please don't waste your time and resources replying to this post at all as I completely understand). However, would you be able to answer thi...

Re: Quick question
We've already addressed this kind of scenario in a previous question of yours, so I'm not going to repeat that here. It sounds like you have a lot of anxiety around this kind of activity. If that's the case, would you like to talk about ways that you can adjust what you do with a partner so that yo...
