Re: How long after I masturbate should I feel something down there?
I hope that you do. They say that the brain is the biggest erogenous zone, but for some it is the biggest blockade to experiencing sexual pleasure. It sounds like one option you could try might be to confront the guilt feelings when you identify them, and engage in some mild cognitive behavioral the...

Re: How long after I masturbate should I feel something down there?
8888, I apologize for being insensitive. I would not claim to have any insight into what you are experiencing, but I hope that you find support in this community. Is there a dialogue happening between you and your prescribing doctor about the side effects of your medication and different techniques ...

What's good about the way you connected with your family?
I have a really broad query; I'd like people to share what things they experienced either in their homes or in the homes of friends which they thought were good ways of connecting with parents or caregivers. Were there conversations or dinner table customs that encouraged your to engage with your fa...

Re: How long after I masturbate should I feel something down there?
There are so many ways to experience sexual feelings and satisfaction, I hesitate to qualify anyone's experience as "normal". Since the mind is such an active part of the sexual experience, I would not be surprised if your dream activity triggered some feelings of excitement in your subcon...

Re: How prepared did you feel for getting your first period?
I feel as though I am waiting for my first period again, having given birth almost a year ago and still not getting it. Anyway, I was 12 I think; I pretty much knew what was going on with my body when it happened. I told my older sister, and we awkwardly shared pads for the rest of the year until sh...

Women as a target for capitalism
I just shaved my legs with coconut oil. I have gradually replaced a number of bathroom products with coconut oil after becoming so frustrated with the way beauty products are marketed towards women. Women are manipulated into buying hundreds, thousands of products that only serve to feed into the da...

Re: Boyfriend took photos of me without consent
dmimima, In this situation, in my opinion, you should value your own judgement. Your friends may think you were too harsh, but if the question is whether or not you have done the right thing for yourself, your mental health, then you are the only one who can determine that. One way to look at this i...

I am a big fan of menstrual cups, but certainly experienced a learning curve with it, and it was a while before my vagina and I became adept at inserting it. The position you are in when inserting it (not typically laying down) makes a difference in comfort as well. good luck!

Re: Non-cis person at a women's college?
With regards to your concern about 'co-opting a woman's space'; believing that you know what other people think about a given thing is never a good place to start. Your experience may be one that brings valuable insight to that educational institution. It is fair to wonder, but don't let that psych ...

Re: Oh, how I loathe "man up"...
To me this falls into the 'micro-aggression' category; which I have lately spent a lot of time thinking about. Similar to using a woman's name to assign weakness to a man, it's just another pin prick into the fabric of girls' and womens' confidence and self respect. And that kind of thing gets a lau...
