Re: Changing pill brand
I completely agree, but doctor's aren't fail proof as well. She instructed me by email, and I know she replies to a lot everyday and sometimes it can be confusing... after all, doctors are only human. She didn' reply me anymore when I questioned her about it due to the crazy schedule. I just wanted ...

Changing pill brand
My body hasn't accepted the hormones of the pill I was using very well (I was constantly spotting) and my doctor told me to change to another brand, which works with a different type of hormone. I trust her but she told me to start the new brand on the day I get my withdrawal bleeding, which means t...

Re: The Pill and Spotting?
Well, Sam W, if it lasts more than 2 weeks in my case, right? Because next week is placebo week and bleeding again is possible. I feel like the flow increases and decreases during the day. It increases if I exercise and the blood is new, red and not coagulated. Can I rule out an abortion if I didn't...

Re: The Pill and Spotting?
Right. In my case I should wait 2 weeks before panicking, because next week is placebo week. Is that correct? Also, could it be an abortion if I was pregnant and didn't know? I don't think I had a pregnancy chance with perfect condoms, but the blood is really red, almost pink, like new blood instead...

Re: The Pill and Spotting?
It's been 5 days and it doesn't seem like the flow is decreasing. Usually, my period ends on the 6th day. I still have minor cramps sometimes. I have heard stories of women who bleed for 2, 3 weeks in a row. Is that possible? I want to know how normal is this that I am experiencing and if I should g...

Re: The Pill and Spotting?
Oh, I read about this double pill method in a few websites that seemed reliable (.org sites for exemple) And yeah, he gives me clitoral stimulation and oral when I am using a tampon, and I give him oral too. We planned having anal this weekend. Can I have anal with a tampon on? Or the motions can ma...

Re: The Pill and Spotting?
Also, can I stop bleeding if I take 2 pills at a time? I will be really unconfortable if I keep bleeding until the weekend.

Re: The Pill and Spotting?
Only know I understood why I confused the staff. When I worry about bleeding, isn't about the effectiveness of the pill and not trusting it that I am concerned; it's just that me and my bf don't engage in anything sexual during this time because he faints when he sees blood. Sorry for not expressing...

Re: The Pill and Spotting?
Oh, ok, but I mean... I will be finishing this pack on the weekend, so I will have almost no break between the periods.
Just because I am asking about how my pills and cycle works doesn't mean I am anxious or panicking or something like that, I just want to know what to expect.
Thanks.

Re: The Pill and Spotting?
I feel 100% confident when I use the 2 methods (pill and condom) all together. I am not afraid I could be pregnant, I know I have been protecting myself just fine. I just wanted to know more about my cycle and this mid cycle bleeding, since I don't want to risk having my withdrawal bleeding 2 times ...

Re: The Pill and Spotting?
Yeah, we use condoms every time and it hasn't broken up nor leaked. Even if we are just grinding. I am thinking about not taking the placebo pills and starting the next pack right away so that would decrease my chances of having another withdrawal bleeding in a week or so (I wanna do it because my p...

Re: The Pill and Spotting?
Kinda had diarrhea all the time for a whole week, so... I am clearly poorly protected :/
If that's the case and I am still taking my pills, when will the protection reach it's maximum again?

Re: The Pill and Spotting?
Thanks a lot
So, getting my withdrawal bleeding mid cycle doesn't mean I am ovulating and that the pill isn't working?
If I wanted to have sex without a backup method, would I have 99% or 92% protection, since I had heavy diarrhea?

Re: The Pill and Spotting?
My periods are really shorter and lighter during the placebo week, but now the "spotting" has became a red flow with a lot of cramps, just like a period. Is it possible to have your period mid pack? Will I get it again during the placebo week? I hate not knowing what is going on with my bod...

Re: The Pill and Spotting?
I am not thinking I am bleeding because it's not being effective. I just thought that my body not absorbing the pill properly would mean a lower dosage of hormones on my body, and the drop of hormones would make me bleed like I were on the placebo pills. Does that make any sense? Could you describe ...

Re: The Pill and Spotting?
Are they symptoms of some STI? I also got checked in may and didn't have unprotected intercourse since then.
I forgot to mention that about 2/3 weeks ago, I had a week of diarrhea. Can the spotting be an effect of my body not absorbing the hormones properly during that time?

The Pill and Spotting?
I'm on a low hormone combined pill and I've been taking it properly since march. I'm now on the middle of my 3rd pack of pills since I've started, and last night I noticed a blood spot on my underwear. It's not a flow, but I can notice a brownish stuff if I stick my finger up my cervix. I am also ha...

Re: Sneaking out for sex? HELP, strict parents!
"It seems clear to me that your parents are pretty dedicated to being upset with you no matter what you really do here, unless what you do is exactly what they want." = our relationship in a nutshell. I got it now. But even if I hadn't tell them I am going to a club, they would think I am ...

Re: Sneaking out for sex? HELP, strict parents!
First of all, thanks for the birthday wishes! I am happily 20 now, not a child anymore, and I hope I can conquer my place as an adult in this house. I am confident about the changes, btw. Now that it was mentioned, I really see my fear of being financially supported as too much. What would definetel...

Re: Sneaking out for sex? HELP, strict parents!
That's a nice article. It seems really wise and stuff, claiming for my freedom and all, but things are different in the real life, when you have parents that pay for your living and could cut it all in a matter of a second if I disobey them. You see, I don't really want to create conflit right now. ...

Re: Sneaking out for sex? HELP, strict parents!
Hey,thanks for replying me! About moving, I may say that my internship don't pay me a penny. Also, I had the unluck of being born in the city everyone else moves in to study. There are a lot of good colleges in my city, and the one I attend to is 15min from my house, so I kinda have no excuses to ma...

Sneaking out for sex? HELP, strict parents!
Well here is my situation: I am a 20 year old girl who is in a relationship of 10 months with someone I think may be “the one” in my life. I go to college and I have plenty freedom to party, have my own car and take care of my daily duties, including my internship. My parents are ok with drinking an...

Re: Pill issues
There was no talk. my mom was busy yesterday and today she have just gone with me to the obgyn, who prescripted me birth control and did a pap smear to make sure I didnt have a STD. When we were leaving the clinic, she hugged me and told me she want me to be happy. That's a good thing for now.

Re: Pill issues
Perfect article, thanks. I'm going home soon and I'll try my best to survive the talk by using the article's arguments. I know, I consider myself easy when I'm not in a relationship because I've had casual sex with a few partners before and that's fine. I didn't meant to sound judgemental by any mea...
