Re: Hormone fluctuations while on the pill?
Bear in mind, too, that hormonal methods of contraception don't actually eradicate or take away your own cycles, they just influence them. So, people can still, for instance, experience pre-menstrual symptoms and other things that occur because of cyclical shifts -- both with your method and your b...

Re: Hormone fluctuations while on the pill?
Hi elainabee, Your body is still likely experiencing some hormone fluctuation, which could explain the tenderness. Too, side effects can arise even after a year or two of use, so that's another possible explanation. Thank you Sam! This has happened to me several times before, where I experience ten...

Hormone fluctuations while on the pill?
Hi! I have been on the pill for about two and a half years now, and occasionally I will have sore breasts mid-cycle, similar to how I had breast tenderness when I ovulated before the pill. I was wondering, do your hormones still fluctuate when on the pill, as they would normally, causing breast sore...

Re: Is it possible to ovulate while taking oral contraceptiv
You know? Bodies are not machines, so they won't react the same way, always. Even when someone has been on birth control for a year, bodies react different sometimes. Is really hard to say why this is happening now, but you can always ask to your healthcare provider in person just to make sure ever...

Re: Is it possible to ovulate while taking oral contraceptiv
We can't say it's impossible to ovulate when on the pill, but ovulation when you're taking it according to directions is very rare. Breast pain and cramping can be related to other causes than ovulation, too, so I wouldn't take those as signs of it. There's no real way to know for sure, but statist...

Is it possible to ovulate while taking oral contraceptives?
Hello! So I've been taking Microgestin Fe 1/20 for nine months now. I've never missed a pill, and I've only ever been late by a couple of hours (this happens rarely, maybe once a month at most). I just had my withdrawal bleed April 29-May 1, and it was normal for what I've been experiencing on the p...

Re: Is this a normal period on birth control?
Okay, so I shouldn't be concerned about a potential pregnancy? Does having a withdrawal bleed (or bleeding resembling, but not exactly the same as a withdrawal bleed) indicate that I wouldn't be pregnant?

Is this a normal period on birth control?
Hello everyone! So I've been taking Microgestin Fe 1/20 since August now. I've never missed a pill, and the most I've ever been late by is an hour or two, and that doesn't happen frequently. I always have sex with a condom, even though I have the added protection of the pill. My periods on the pill ...
