Re: Grey Discharge NO ODOR

Hi amourousfire, I'm sorry that the article stressed you, but it's meant to be a general guide for evaluating what your discharge might mean. Neither I, nor anyone else on the internet, can diagnose it for you (and, if you're up to date on your STI tests, then you can rule out that as an option anyw...

Hi amourousfire,

If you haven't already, check out this article:
Honorably Discharged: A Guide to Vaginal Secretions

If the discharge continues, and you're concerned, you can check in with a healthcare provider to see if anything is up.

Re: Medication affecting birth control

Hi manfamain,

If you a very concerned about pregnancy, then plan b is an option to you. I would still talk to your doctor though (although, if they new about the other medication you were on, and didn't warn you about it affecting your pill when they proscribed it, then odds are it won't interfere)

Re: Going back on Birth control

As far as getting back onto the pill, it would be best if you call a pharmacist or the person who proscribed the pill for their advice, and continue to back up with condoms. As for looking into alternative hormonal contraceptives, it doesn't have to be an OB-GYN who you discuss that with. The doctor...

Re: Silly question? (Pills, lateness, not a scare)

Hi Zombiechu, Nope, you actually have a 12 hour grace period before your pill is even considered late, so a few minutes late will not matter at all. I'm glad to hear you were advised to use a back-up method. Just so you know we, and a few other organizations, recommend actually using a back-up metho...

Re: I don't get why I have such a tight vagina

Well, that tension is likely what's causing some of the issue. After all, it's hard to relax if it hurts. You say that you enjoy external stimulation. Do you do a lot of that before trying to insert anything? As for lube, it's not unusual for people to find that they need more besides what their bod...

Re: I don't get why I have such a tight vagina

Hi Cinzia,

When you're trying to insert your fingers, are you aroused and relaxed, or are you pretty tense?(also, nothing will make you tense up like trying to force something into your vagina, so going slow might help there). Two, do you use lubricant at all?

Re: Birth Control Confusion

Hi daisygirl,
No, that only means that you need to wait a week the first month you start the pills, because they're not up to full effectiveness yet (we actually advise waiting a month). And, in all honesty, it's best to back up with condoms anyway, since they provide another layer of protection.

Hi Furiosa, Has the therapist you've been seeing at least been able to give you some techniques for how to deal with panic attacks and the like when they emerge? As far as warning signs go, there isn't a perfect system for spotting someone who is toxic, but there are things to watch out for. We've g...

Hi Ag18, I;m not sure what Heather has in mind in terms of suggestions for reclaiming your own body, so I will leave that for her to touch on. I do have a thought as far as accessing counseling. It may help if you do some research on your own to find counselors and reach out to them. That way, you r...

Hi candyhndy,

No, what happens in conversation between you and your gyno should not get back to your mom, as it is confidential between you two.

Do you feel you want to discuss what's going on with your mom, or just with your doctor for now?

What goofy thing have you done in the name of love?

Allow me to explain: My partner, for years, thought I preferred black coffee. I don't, I am a cream and sugar girl. But the reason he thought this was that back when we first met, he would always bring a big cup of black coffee with him to school, and would offer me some. Wanting to accept it so tha...

Re: Feeling Yuck About Natural Lubricants...

Yep, vibrators can be used on the penis without causing damage. You just have to ease into it. They might build up sometimes, but not always (the point of focusing more on general pleasure as the goal is less about avoiding orgasm and more about making orgasm not the only thing you focus on. If orga...

Re: The Pill and Spotting?

No, there should not be any concerns about anal sex causing your tampon to get lost. It could be that you're experiencing a slightly longer period than usual. However, if you find it starting to last more than about a week without any noticeable decrease and you're concerned, you may want to check i...

Just throwing it out there that they have flavored lube too (to go on a condom. I got a salted caramel one from Lucky Bloke, to give you a sense of how much variety there is). As far as wanting to be more active, it may help for you two just to experiment with different ways of pacing sexual activit...

Hi confused,

If the bleeding you're having looks, feels, and lasts as long as a period, then it is most likely your period. If you're having pregnancy worries, use this guide and it will take you through some steps of what to do:

Re: Feeling Yuck About Natural Lubricants...

Hi confusedone, So, something that might help here is to use a condom when performing oral sex (and using gloves for manual sex). That way, you're not coming into contact with those fluids, and you don't have to somehow train yourself out of feeling squicked out. You can even play around with differ...

Hi mirrormask, Yes, assuming you took both tests according to the directions, you can trust the results. And, beyond that, you've been using three methods of birth control, so your chances of pregnancy were incredibly, incredibly small to begin with. Too, you may be experiencing cycle irregularity b...
