Re: Masturbation question
Welcome to Scarleteen, ScaredKitten! Good news: what you experienced sounds completely normal. It is completely normal for our first experimentations and our first attempts at any new sexual activity to not feel like much. It takes a little bit of time and practice to figure out what we like and wha...

Welcome to Scarleteen, utanohimeko. I am sorry to hear you are in such a difficult situation. Reading over your story, it sounds to me like there are at least two factors that are influencing the low libido you are experiencing now. One is the fact that you started having sex again becore you were r...

Re: Testing, testing!!! (Pregnancy Test)
Ever since I started taking the pill, the only real side effect I've had from it was that it makes my period a lot lighter and causes me to miss it altogether from time to time. So even though I take the pill as directed and have never missed a pill, I will take pregnancy tests on occassion when I f...

Re: Questions about the birth control pill
Your bedside drawer sounds like a good place for your birth control. You really only need to be concerned with temperatures in situations where the pill would be exposed to extreme tremperatures for long amounts of time, such as leaving your pills in the car in the summer for a long time when it is ...

So, you two are still pretty new to each other and have just been getting to know each other? And you've already managed to give each other pleasure, but the past two days it has not really been too great? That all sounds perfectly normal and alright. :) It takes a while for us to get used to new pa...

There are so many different types of tests out there that we can't really talk about specific ones. If you have a question about how a test works, it's best to call the manufacturer of that test.

Welcome to Scarleteen, Pumpkin. EC can affect the menstrual cycle for a few months, so your periods still looking a bit unusual may well be due to that. It would be extremely unlikely for you to have bleeding that is no your period, yet continues to show up when you are due for your period :) Plus, ...

Re: Period being weird. Should i go to a doctor
A period that comes a day after you expect it to is really not considered late yet at all. As long as a period shows up within a few days of the expected due date, it's perfectly fine. So, I do not see any cause for concern here.

Re: Spotting while on the pills
If you have been taking the pill as directed, it is extremely unlikely that you have become pregnant. And spotting or breakthrough bleeding are indeed common side effects of the pill, and can occur at any time, even if you have not experienced any other side-effects. However, if you want to be on th...

Re: Birth control + Antibiotics?
Can you call your pharmacist or prescribing doctor to double-check? They are really the best source of information in situations like these. Should the antibiotic affect the birth control, you'll want to double-up with condoms until you start the next new pack. It may also help you to know that no a...

Welcome to Scarleteen, pinkelephant! Good on you for wanting to be safe :) If you have both never been sexual with anyone else, the chances that either of you has an STI are low, though some can be transmitted via non-sexual means, as well. It is always a good idea to get into a habit of regular che...

Okay, since you have been using the old account and have a history there with us, we would prefer that you keep that. It is easier for us to help users when we can keep track of their histories. And then we'll go ahead and discontinue the new account you made.

Simome05, are you actually Indianaggirl? If so, can you please use only one account? Not only is it against our guidelinees to use two accounts, it is also very confusing for us to keep track of who we are talking to.

Okay, so if you know that you want to continue the pregnancy, your next step is to make that appointment with your gynecologist to get you started with staying healthy during the pregnancy. You'll also want to talk to them about whether and how your PCOS may affect your pregnancy. It does put you at...

I am glad to hear you've told your mother and she is being suppotive! That is great. In terms of what steps to take, that depends on what you decide to do. Re: What are the chances?
It is hard to speculate in retrospect, as there are many variables. Certain antibiotics can impact the pill's effectivenss, so that may certainly be a factor. Have you been to see your gynecologist yet to confirm the results of the pregnancy tests? I'd say you'll want to get that confirmation before...

Re: Can't insert anything into vagina
Since you are sexually active now, it would be a good idea to start getting annual pap smears, and also regular STI testing. One thing I am wondering from what you said is how you led up to intercourse. Have you and your partner engaged in other sexual activities? Did you make sure you were relaxed,...

Re: Can't insert anything into vagina
(Your English is perfectly fine! Don't worry.) Have you ever been to see a gynecologist? If not, I suggest you start there. This way, you can rule out any potential physical issues. It is also just generally a good idea to get regular reproductive healthcare once you are sexually active. I am also g...

Re: Birth control pills
It is usually a good idea to use a condom as a back-up throughout the entire first month on the pill (and really, always, as the pill does not protect from STIs). But regardless of your irregular bleeding, once you've been on the pill for one full pack, you should be able to rely on the protection p...

Re: Birth control pills
You'll want to expect your bleeding to be fairly irregular for the first three or so months or so on the pill, until the body adjusts to the hormones. So this sounds fairly normal, especially given that you started the pill in the middle of a cycle, which can make it more likely that you'll experien...

So, if the tea has a laxative effect, that can impact your birth control pill, as the pill needs to be fully absorbed to be effective. That means you'll want to be sure to have more than enough time between taking the pill and drinking the tea, so that the pill can be fully absorbed and do its thing...

Welcome to Scarleteen, imitosis. Before discussing your question, I want to first make sure that you are safe. If you are considering suicide, please find help.
