Re: Possible pregnancy risk?

Usually, if you start at a time other than the first Sunday after your period, it can take up to the first full month before the pill is fully effective. But since you have taken all the active pills, you have fulfilled that minimum, and your pregnancy risk should be low. However, since it sounds li...

Re: Possible pregnancy risk?

If both of you have never had any sexual contact with anyone else, then the risk of STIs is indeed low. However, there are some STIs that can be transmitted in non-sexual ways, so it is always smart to have regular STI tests as part of your reproductive healthcare. What does the insert that came wit...

Re: Possible pregnancy risk?

Since you have taken all of the active pills in the first pack, provided that you have taken them all as directed, the pill should be at its full effectiveness.

Are you and your partner up to date with STI screenings?

Re: Did You Have "The Talk" as a Kid?

I also never had "the talk" with my parents. My parents made it clear that my brother and I could talk to them about anything whenever we wanted to, we just never took them up on it (partly because when personal and sensitive topics did come up, my parents tended to be pretty unsure and ra...

From what you are describing, it sounds like you might well be orgasming. From the outside, it is hard for us to answer that question for you. But maybe you will find this article helpful: Sexual Response & Orgasm: A Users Guide It's also good to keep in mind that not all orgasms are super mind-...

The very best person to ask with questions about your pill (or any medication) is the pharmacist.

But, no: the pill does not interact with food.

This is an article you might find helpful: When Sex "Just Happened" (And How to Make It Happen Instead)

All pregnancy tests you can buy at the store work pretty much the same, as long as you carefully read and follow the directions.

Lisa, your corona/hymen does not so much stretch as gradually wear down, and it will continue to do that.

Re: BCP Timing

Welcome to Scarleteen, s0123! Generally, you want to try and take your pill at around the same time of day. A pill is not considered late until is has been more than 12 hours since your pill-time, but taking it as close to your time as possible is still a good idea to make sure your hormone levels s...

Welcome to Scarleteen, mece! This sounds like a really frustrating issue, and I am sorry it's leaving you feeling so confused! Unfortunately, as you have noticed, our bodies are not machines and don't always do what we'd expect or like them to do. As much as that sometimes sucks, the best thing you ...

Re: pre-ejaculate vs. ejaculate

Pre-ejaculate is a fluid that is usually present when someone with a penis is aroused. It is a much, much smaller amount than a full ejaculation. We also do not know for sure whether pre-ejaculate even contains sperm at all - to the best of our knowledge, it does not contain sperm on its own, but ma...

Re: When did your sex ed start?

Until I was 13, I was living in Germany, and my earliest experience with sex education there was in either the second or the fourth grade (I was in the same room for those two years and I remember the room the class took place in, but not my age ;) ). We had a picture book that explained how reprodu...

Fun!

I disliked Catcher in the Rye, so I refuse to believe someone liked it :D

My two truths and a lie:
- I attended a Catholic all-girls private school as a teen
- I've had a lot of pets, including a newt named Tommy
- As an English major, I really appreciate the classics of literature
