Re: Sex Ed Books That Promote Inclusion of All Genders
Yes, that is right. If I inadvertently offended anyone by not thinking of that all apologies. I didn't mean it to read as only two.

Re: Sex Ed Books That Promote Inclusion of All Genders
Thank you. It's for a 10-year-old but my partner also wanted something that would be appropriate for a sibling that is two years younger to be able to educate them both at a level they would understand. I checked out the write up about Own Your Period and think that's an important book for both sexe...

Sex Ed Books That Promote Inclusion of All Genders
I know that Scarleteen has a book out by its founder. I was wondering however, if you had any book recommendations that teach even younger people (tweens or younger) early on not only about puberty and sex but also to understand and accept all genders and sexual orientation? I want something that pr...

Anal Sex Question
I had a question about anal sex that doesn't have to do with mechanics. My partner has had a horrible experience with intense cramps and vomiting because of inability to pass bowel movements easily most of her life. She finally had a colonoscopy and is on Restorlax daily for constipation. Despite th...

Period Underwear
I have seen period undwear advertised on TV a lot lately. I don't know a heck of a lot about the product except that it somehow traps blood and doesn't leak. I was curious about the material its made from and how it does the job it's designed to do. Is the product all it seems to be? How reliable is...

Burning Sensation When Ejaculating.
I haven't been with a partner the last few months. When I masturbate I've noticed lately that there is a burning sensation and not a pleasurable sensation with ejaculation lately. I can't have an STD and really don't know why it's occuring but figured mentioning it here may yeild an answer. I don't ...

Re: Prostate Issue.
I spoke with them. They said I have to hold it in for 30 minutes or they cannot get images. That's going to be difficult. It's 4 large glasses of water that they require you drink and hold. There's no telling whether or not they'll take me the minute I show up or make me wait either. I'm dreading it...

Re: Prostate Issue.
Just a quick update to say I will be alright. I saw a kidney specialist who says the issue I'm having is with mild deterioration of my kidneys. I've done a whack of tests including 24hr urine collection, blood tests for creatinine and other tests. They don't know the exact cause. As for the frequent...

Re: Prostate Issue.
You have provided the information that I need. Once the tests have been done I'll let you know whether or not I'm fine by adding a reply to the thread. It looks as though this should be all sorted out soon. They have told me now to drink the water just before the test and it should give some images.

Re: Prostate Issue.
I was asked to follow up with the doctor who ordered that test. That's where it stands. I'll see what they say as I'm sure I'm not the only person with that issue. The hospital person who called and knows the test told me to call that doctor about my concern. She did however, say that I know my body...

Re: Prostate Issue.
Thanks again for your help. I received my blood work back. They did my entire body chemistry. The doctor wasn't concerned with kidneys. They are now concerned with thyroid. Lithium can cause thyroid problems in people on it for extended periods. It can also cause kidney function issues. This might b...

Re: Prostate Issue.
Thanks very much. I have been referred to a kidney specialist to figure out the issues with urination. I have to wait til the middle of the month but that's pretty darn good. I'm chomping at the bit. I'm on medication that is known to cause kidney issues that look like regular diabetes. That's what ...

Prostate Issue.
My question isn't 100% sex or sexuality related. Having said that the prostate plays a function in sex and with creation and release of semen/sperm. I have to get a medical procedure done that I didn't even know they could do. It's a prostate ultrasound. While I have read what that entails and the f...

Foreskin Retraction.
I am circumcised but had a question on foreskin. A friend recently told my partner that her son couldn't retract his foreskin yet to expose and clean the glans. He's 6. We know that this cannot be forced because it can cause tears and other problems. I know that at birth the skin is attached firmly ...

Ejaculation.
I'm probably in dire need of an anatomy lesson so I hope my question doesn't sound stupid. I have a question about ejaculation. I know that semen and sperm production start out in the testicals and that fluid travels up vas deferans and ejaculated out the urethra. I also know that urine comes out th...
Re: Book List
Thank you for the link it's what I was looking for. When I mentioned books to avoid I meant ones poorly written, researched, illustrated and difficult with confusing language or ideas for a kid to read and grasp. I need a comprehensive book for an 8-year-old but also a resource for parents so that w...
Book List
Do you have a book list with recommendations on human sexuality? Furthermore, are there any books out there that you would advise parents and their kids avoid?

Re: What influences your hair/shaving habits?
I know this topic is meant for females and don't want anyone here upset with a male weighing in. I have to tell you for what it's worth that it's YOUR hair and YOUR preferences that matter. If a guy can't handle body hair and unshaven legs than he's not worthy of being with you or mature enough all ...

Re: What's the sex ed curriculum where you're from?
Parents need to be the first source for info and cannot in my opinion think for a second that school will cover all the bases. Ontario had a sex-ed curriculum that was working under the Liberal government which recently lost. That curriculum included options other than abstaining, masturbation, cons...

Re: Genital Sweat (Male)
I have seen a few companies that market what I'll call "specialty" underwear. These under shorts often cost $40.00 a pair which I think is outrageous for what it is. They have prints on them and have an area that hugs the scrotum and prevents chaffing and need to adjust. They're odor free ...

Genital Sweat (Male)
I know that neither my partner nor myself have an infection. I'm writing in about a musty smell to pubic hair and area. I'm sure it's sweat. I have good hygene and always change my underclothes and bathe. However, that odor is always there and underwear can be damp at times. I'm not sure why this is...

Re: Not Drinking On Campus
Again, not to break the rules and as a final followup: You have to understand that the internal soundtrack that is coming at you constantly about suicide etc is NOT nor ever will be your own thinking. You have to mentally counter it every time. It's also a signal to you that something isn't right an...

Re: Not Drinking On Campus
When it comes to thoughts of harming one's self or suicide you really need to know that it solves nothing and that no matter what problems you may have they are all 100% solvable. It may take time but believe me they are and nothing absolutely NOTHING is worth dying over. This is a mental health iss...

Toxic Shock Syndrome
I was hoping you could explain further what Toxic Shock Syndrome is, how you get it and the link to tampons and in some cases death. I always thought it had to do with tampons made in '70s or '80s of a fabric that could cause this if menstrual product not used correctly. Why am I asking? There was a...
