Re: Fell like I was a used
Even if you choose not to take any legal action, the folks there can offer you some support, or just listen and not be dismissive the way it sounds like your doctors have been so far. As Heather said, a rape crisis organization is going to understand how serious this is and can talk you through the ...

Re: Can Dryhumping cause pms
We can't know when these symptoms will go away, but no, they won't last forever. If PMS is causing you a lot of distress or lasting for weeks at a time, though, that's something you could discuss with your doctor.

Re: Can Dryhumping cause pms
Pms symptoms can sometimes come earlier or later, be more or less severe, etc. from cycle to cycle; that's not unusual at all. Dry humping isn't going to have any impact on this, or any part of your menstrual cycle; it's an entirely external type of sex that can't change anything about how your body...

Re: Supporting a Friend Who Isn't There for Themselves
It's great that you've been able to support your friend so much! But it definitely sounds like setting some boundaries would be good for both of you. I like that idea for a schedule, and getting that printed out & posted sounds like a fantastic plan. Since she has a therapist right now, I think ...

Interactive anxiety/stress self-care website
I ran across this site today and thought it would be helpful to share, especially with so many of our users struggling with anxiety right now. It's a walk-through that takes you through several potential sources of worry or low moods and offers specific suggestions for each issue, so it's a bit more...

Yep! Even if your periods tend to be the same in terms of length/heaviness of flow, some variation from month to month is completely normal.

Re: Spotting and Still Expecting Period
Are you up to date on STI testing? Light pink discharge or spotting can be a symptom of some infections. This could also be spotting as your period is getting started, just with an atypical flow and lack of cramping, but since you've noticed this for a few days it might be worth getting checked out,...

Well, you took the right next step to check out more sources - if you see a claim somewhere that's not backed up by any official sources you can generally assume it's not true.

Here's a little more on the issue of not seeing your specific scenario represented: http://hellyeahscarleteen.tumblr.com/post/133405290236/here-at-scarleteen-people-ask-us-about-the-risk Using two condoms at once is absolutely not recommended, as the added friction makes a tear much more likely. Re: Birth Control and Unproteted Sex
Plan B isn't going to do anything your birth control isn't already taking care of; it's not something you need to take when you've been taking your bc pills according to directions. As long as you've been taking your pills according to directions they are at full effectiveness now, but if you don't ...

Re: Antibiotics
The best person to check with for clarification will be the doctor who prescribed the antibiotic to you as they'll have the most up to date info on that drug. There isn't any time you should mess with the schedule of your pill pack and take a longer break between active pills than your placebo week....

Re: BC questions
If you look in the packet that comes with your birth control pill, it will explain your different options for when you can start, and what to do about missed pills. That's always going to be the best resource to check with first! I will say that it's definitely important to take all pills in your pa...

Re: Constant bleeding
Hi Picocat, and welcome! I'm really sorry to hear about this issue - constant bleeding certainly sounds uncomfortable and I can imagine it's disconcerting to have it happening without doctors having a clear idea as to why. If you haven't updated your doctor about the constant bleeding, you may want ...
Re: Condoms
Effectiveness rates, for condoms and all other birth control methods, are calculated for a year of use, not for one instance of use. So when we say condoms are 98% effective with perfect use and 86% effective with typical use, we mean that in one year of use, 2% of people using condoms as directed, ...

Re: How to talk to women
Like Ashleah, I think there's a lot of overlap with how you talk to pretty much anyone you want to get to know better and how you talk to someone you might want to date. It might be helpful to have a general goal of making connections with more people overall, and not just potential dating partners,...

Re: Am I overreacting?
Even if he understands that what he did was wrong, and has changed since them, that doesn't mean you can't still feel betrayed or like you can't have a sexual relationship (or a relationship at all) with him. How he is now doesn't change or remove what he did to you. There's no one right way to hand...

Re: Am I overreacting?
Hi there, Ava, and welcome to Scarleteen. You aren't overreacting at all to be upset by this. If someone's asleep they aren't able to consent to sex; what he did was sexual assault. So I'm not surprised you don't feel like you can trust him, or that you're still upset when you think about this incid...

Hi Jaynedo, and welcome to Scarleteen. It's hard to know exactly why you're not feeling much pleasure when you're being intimate with your partner. This is something you could bring up with a doctor, but unless you're feeling actual numbness or a loss of sensation anywhere (vs just feeling touch but...

Re: All I wanted..
Oof, the issue with CPS is tough. In a lot of areas, people are mandated by law to report issues to CPS if they're aware of them, so I understand why the counselor can't promise not to contact them. But I wonder if you can talk to the counselor about your situation - that you're running out of resou...

Re: Seeking advice
If it helps any, I think it might be good to keep in mind that pretty much anyone, no matter what their orientation or who their partner is, will have desires that are unfulfilled by a relationship. It's pretty rare (I'd say probably impossible) for any two people to dovetail so perfectly together t...
