Semen on toilet paper?

Okay I feel really dumb by posting this but here it goes. Last night we went to a bar that was a bit sketchy. I had a couple drinks and had to go to the washroom. The washrooms were all shared by men and women. The toilet paper was sitting ontop of the ledge and there was this wet stuff on the ledge...

Re: Continuous birth control question

Perfect, thank you so much! I've been on pills in the past and the pill pamphlet always gave an option of the Sunday start or first day of your period and then included those sticks (Mon, Tues, Wed, etc.) When this specific pill pamphlet only said to do the Sunday start and didn't give those days of...

Re: Continuous birth control question

Sorry, I just have one more (dumb) question lol. Stupid question. So I just took my first pill of Seasonale today (levonorgestrel/ethinyl estradiol 0.15/0.03mg) The instruction pamphlet said to start on a Sunday after your period. I started it today because today is the first day of my period. (and ...

Re: Continuous birth control question

Unfortunately my doctor is away for a few weeks so I think I'm just going to take it as prescribed and see how I like it after a few months.

Thank you for the great suggestions on preventing yeast infections!

Re: Continuous birth control question

Thank you for your reply. I spoke to the pharmacist and seemed really uneasy about my doctors instructions and even said he wouldn't think I would be protected. Honestly this made no logical sense to me seeing as they make non continuous birth control that contains the exact same dosage and type of ...

Continuous birth control question

I'm going to ask my pharmacist when I fill my prescription (which won't be for a few days). I just wanted to ask here first. I was just prescribed Seasonale by my doctor (a continuous combo pill where you get a period every 3 months). I've been on Seasonique many years ago (also a continuous birth c...

Re: Engaged and confused

Thank you I really appreciate it :) I guess I just feel like we're missing that physical attraction that we would normally get from intimacy. We are definitely trying to do different things to become closer and hopefully bring that spark back. Yes I have access to help and support with my mental ill...

Re: Engaged and confused

Thank you for posting that link. When I went through it I felt like my answers were very positive for the most part. Even though this probably sounds dumb I think I'm just getting major commitment issues. I've had commitment issues in all aspects of my life (not just in the relationship). We've talk...

Engaged and confused

I hope this is okay to post. I feel like I don't have many people to talk to about this. Side note: I suffer from mental illness (recently diagnosed with severe generalized anxiety and mild depression). I am in therapy and I'm going to be trying medication in January. I've been with my boyfriend for...

Re: Vaginal exam. Was this appropriate?

Thank you I appreciate your kind words. I'm trying to make sense of the whole thing. You know when you've experienced something kind of out of the ordinary and you want to make sure it was normal practice. Thanks for letting me know its okay to feel uncertain. I still do but talking through this has...

Re: Vaginal exam. Was this appropriate?

Okay thank you for clearing that up. I honestly don't remember my family doctor doing that before, if she did then I didn't notice her taking that long compared to this other doctor. Hopefully what I felt was just what you're describing. Since I was so sore and uncomfortable down there its sometimes...

Re: Vaginal exam. Was this appropriate?

I just wanted to say thank you to both of you for talking to me about this situation which makes me uncomfortable. I really appreciate it. I've been thinking about it more and I still feel a bit uneasy because of the uncertainty if it was all innocent or not. I think for the most part he was probabl...

Re: Vaginal exam. Was this appropriate?

Hmmm I don't think so. Do you think it's worth it to disclose who I am? Or just leave it as an anonymous complaint?

Re: Vaginal exam. Was this appropriate?

I don't feel great but I feel better than I did yesterday. I think I just have a lot of adrenaline and anxiety in me right now lol. It made me feel good that she took it very seriously and wanted to make me feel better by saying they always require a nurse in the room during an exam. She said even w...

Re: Vaginal exam. Was this appropriate?

I actually just called the place and spoke to the manager. I told her what happened and she informed me that the nurse assistant in the room is required to be there and they would make any notes on the file if they felt he was being innapropriate in any way. She told me there has never been a compla...

Re: Vaginal exam. Was this appropriate?

That makes sense. I just see it this way. I could make a complaint. But since it happened so long ago my memory is a hit fuzzy of the exact details you know? I feel like that makes the complaint lose credibility. Then it turns into a he said she said thing. Of course he would deny it and I'm already...

Re: Vaginal exam. Was this appropriate?

Hmmm that could possibly be an option. I'll probably talk to a manager there first but I won't disclose my information. In your opinion does this all justify an actual legal complaint? Or do you think just an anonymous complaint is good enough? Like I said before, I feel that it may have been innoce...

Re: Vaginal exam. Was this appropriate?

Thank you both for being understanding about this. It makes me wonder that maybe he was trying to be helpful and gather more info on why I've been having vaginal issues which is maybe why he made some of those comments about sex and how long it's been, etc. I also feel like men dont grasp the female...

Re: Vaginal exam. Was this appropriate?

Thank you Heather. I actually googled it (I'm in Canada). It says that you need to do a written formal complaint that discloses all your information and he has to be told who made the complaint. Then all the legal stuff gets involved, etc. That just makes me feel uncomfortable especially because it ...

Re: Vaginal exam. Was this appropriate?

Yes it does thank you. He is not a obgyn. Hes just a family doctor who primarily does walkins. Yeah like I assume it was because of the tightness since of course I'm inflamed and obvious right since I'm not comfortable. When he asked if I had sex and I said no he had also asked why? I just said I wa...

Vaginal exam. Was this appropriate?

So about 2 years ago I went to a walkin clinic because my doctor was away. I got a male doctor and he prescribed me yeast infection pills after I told him my symtoms. When I took the pill I didn't feel any better, instead I felt worse. I went back to see that same doctor. He said that we should take...

My apologies Heather. I do know it can cause bone density loss and some other more temporary effects.
I will review my 3 options and if I have anymore questions I will ask. :)
I truly appreciate all your help.

Re: Regular period of withdrawal bleed?

The depo shot isn't an option for me. I was actually on it about 4 years ago and I really liked it until I found out how bad it is for you. On my 3rd shot I got extreme anxiety out of nowhere. It was so bad I thought i should be medicated because I could barely function. Coming off of it was horribl...
