Re: Am I a bad person?

Well being comfortable talking about sex and sexuality isn't really about gender. That would be something that would varied by the individual. So in general, I don't think there is anything wrong with talking about sex, I don't think that that stops being okay just because you are in a relationship ...

Re: Am I a bad person?

Hi AJ,

Can you tell me more about why you feel this is something that could be used against you? And is there a particular reason you think your boyfriend would be uncomfortable with you talking about sex? Anything that has happened in the relationship?

It means that the condom is still providing the same amount of protection against pregnancy. Make sense? With typical use, condoms are 86% effective in one year.

Re: First pill 4 hours late

Hi Ruby, When users have questions about medication we advise them to check the instructions that were included and/or check with your doctor or pharmacist! You have already done both of those things :) You can trust the information that both provided you. Anytime you feel the effectiveness of your ...

Re: Do I do it??!

It would look different for everybody, so having kissed somebody before wouldn't necessarily give you an idea of when or if your crush was interested in kissing. This is really one of those things that you have to read the situation as it is happening and pay attention to what is going on as Heather...

Re: I don't trust condoms?

Missed something! There shouldn't be any hanging material when the condom is on. It is possible that your partner is using a condom that is too big.

And you can find your answer about pregnancy risk here: http://www.scarleteen.com/article/bodie ... _from_that

Re: I don't trust condoms?

Hey, Condoms are very effective at preventing pregnancy when used properly! 98% in one year of proper use. One of the nice things about condoms is that you would know if failure occurred. If it ripped or slipped off then it would be immediately noticeable. So if those things did not occur then you c...

Hi Nadianana, What I can say is that the way the fear is making you feel is very real! I think this is something you can add to the list to discuss with your therapist today. As everyone here has already said, they are going to be the best person to help you evaluate your anxiety and figure out the ...

Re: Sex after missed pill

Just continue to follow the instructions that your doctor gave you for backing up with a condom. So if they said 7 days, continue for 7 days. Anytime you are concerned about the effectiveness of your birth control you should use a back up method. We also recommend condoms in general because it prote...

Re: Sex after missed pill

Missing one pill doesn't mean that you no longer have any protection against pregnancy. Situations like these are factored into "typical use" which would still mean that in a year, the pill is 91% effective at preventing pregnancy. The typical use effectiveness rate takes into account that...

Re: Period question

Being really sick (not like a cold) could throw off your cycle, as could other things if your body is out of whack. This is not something that you could predict or control though. So it is not a guarantee that if someone gets sick, even right before ovulation, that their period will be delayed.

Re: Is this my period?

Spotting is very light. It can occur before and after a period. Yes, it can be an indication that something is going on (signs of infection). It is also a pretty typical symptom for a person who use hormonal birth control. But what you describes sounds like a period, especially if it occurred around...
