Thank you for your response. I am very close with my family. They were with me through the whole process. I have a few close friends that know about the situation as well. Even though I am shy, maybe I need to step out of my comfort zone and try to make more connections with people.

Thank you for your input Sam! Yes, "this" was supposed to mean the whole experience of finding the tumor, not knowing if it was cancer, going through the surgery, recovering from the surgery and dealing with losing an ovary. I tend to shy away from social interactions with people. I am a c...

Thank you for your feedback! It is almost like I am going through a grieving period. I know that probably sounds silly. But since I lost an ovary, it really does change my perspective on things. I had surgery earlier this year to remove an ovarian cyst (and my ovary). The entire experience was incredibly scary and it left me with a very large vertical scar that goes above my belly button down to my pubic area.
