Thanks for the reply!
It has been reported, it happened a few years ago but I am still very scarred over the whole ordeal. I do have a doctor that I trust to ask, is it OK to just call with that type of question? I am not due for an appointment for a long time.
Thanks again!

Need Help with Therapist Issue (TW: abuse, abandonment)
Hello everyone! I need some pointers in finding a new therapist. To make a long story short, I saw a therapist for about a year over an abusive ex. Then, the therapist absolutely manipulated me and then later tried to have an inappropriate relationship with me after I had quit going. Now my relation...

Let's talk about periods :-)
For those users who have periods, what are some of your favorite period self care tips? I use period time as a time for a little extra self care! I need to reward myself for all the crazy awesome things my body can do. I like to -relax with a heat pack on my lower back -make a foot soak -Put in one ...

I still don't know how to process this. This happens when I hear of most violent attacks in the news, but this time it really hit home for me. These were young adults my age who were out having fun with friends and the types of places I visit. Other than the grief for the lives lost, I am realizing ...

Discouraging Experience
Hello all! This is formerly CraftyKid, now under a new name because I am in a gardening mood. Just venting here about a very discouraging experience I had my doctors office. I just called to schedule my yearly exam for this summer. I normally have it in March, but I can't take off work to ...

Re: Any gardeners out there?
That is awesome Heather! :D I live rurally as well and I enjoy the room it provides for planting! I love the sensory experience of gardening as well. It helps me "get back to nature"! A watering system would be nice - watering (as you know) takes a great deal of time! Not that I mind it, I...

Thanks Heather!
You've given me some things to consider and bring up to my doctor in a few weeks.

Thank you for your reply squintern! I like to hear real-life uses of birth control instead of advertisements and such. That's good to hear that you've had a positive experience with the implant. I am definitely considering it as a method of birth control for me. Heather - So I have been researching ...

Re: Share Your Pregnancy Scare Experiences & Advice
In my time of being sexually active, I have had my share of pregnancy scares. I do want to have kids, but I'm not at the point of my life yet where it is a real option for me. As someone who has suffered from anxiety a lot in their life, I can understand where you or other users here are coming from...

Oh and also - if you had sex you WOULD DEFINITELY become pregnant. Like, every time you had sex.

Re: What were some incorrect things you believed about sex?
Up until the time I was about 8 or 9, I thought that when you wanted to have a baby, you went to the doctor and got a shot in the stomach! That was something I formulated in my own mind though. Some of the more serious things though came from poor sex ed later on in school. I believed that bir...

Re: One method or two?
squintern,
Do you still have a withdrawal bleed with the implant? I'm sure it varies for each person, but I'm just curious. You say you didn't have any bad side effects which is great? How was it when you first got it?

Re: One method or two?
Hi Heather! I was actually just about to make a thread about switching to a new form of birth control and trying to figure out what the best option is for me. I'm going to talk to my GYN about it, but I thought I could start here first to give me some things to think about. I know that I always want...

Me too! In fact, just this past weekend, there was a plant sale to benefit one of the schools on the island where I live and I got the most major haul for peanuts! Eight tomato plants, four tomatillos, three cukes, four arugula, two lettuces, eight kales and two oreganos all for $40! I remain might...

Any gardeners out there?
I just got all my vegetables planted this year and I'm super excited to go out and grab some fresh stuff when I make dinner! This is my third summer planting my own vegetables and I really enjoy it. I also love flowers as well. This year I am planting strawberries, zucchini, yellow squash, heirloom ...

Cycle Question
First off, hello Scarleteen! I have something I am confused about and thought you could clear it up. During my last combined bcp pack I took 2 pills 9 hours late (within the 12 hour window but 9 hours after my usual 10pm time). These pills are not technically considered late correct? If I were to ta...

Re: You're not afraid anymore! Wahoo!
Thanks for posting this, Heather. I really needed this! I have dealt an irrational fear of terminal illness for a few years now off an on. My biggest fear is cancer, mostly due to the fact that I watched my mom suffer through cancer (she is a survivor and is doing wonderful!). I've thought I've had ...

I love this thread! Because of illness struggles, I have not traveled very much this year, but Friday, and heading to Minneapolis for a few days to see my people I miss from when I lived there. And to freeze to death, which I do NOT miss. :) But the best part is that (probably for the last time, be...

For me its exam season. Classes ended yesterday and I'm starting to study. So to be going into exams with good grades and actually be capable of studying i...
