Re: Pills timing
Yeah I've been taking it at different times
For example, one/two hours later than I was supposed to. Does it make it a risk for pregnancy there? I haven't missed a single dose this cycle.

Pills timing
Hello I wanted to ask if time difference would make the pill less effective I take my COCs at 8pm in my home time, but I travelled where the time was -1hour, so when it's 8pm in my home zone, it is 7pm in my current time zone. These last two days I took my pill at 7pm because I thought it would be s...

I can't call them now - what should I do? Continue taking pills from the same pack or continue from a brand new pack?

When I got home, the packet wasn't warm or hot at all, so speaking generally, do I need to change my pack?

It says literally not a thing.
It says "Special conditions for (name of pill) are not needed"

storing birth control
Hey there
Do I need to start new pack of birth control pills if I left them in a hot (30-35 degress celsius) car but not on sunlight for about an hour?
Will they still work as usual? Theyre all monophasic. Thanks

Re: Withdrawal bleed
Yes, you're correct.
I took two tests 13-14 days after intercourse. Don't know if it showed me correct results, they were negative. I'm taking one tomorrow, even though I had my "period". Just to be sure

Re: Withdrawal bleed
Thanks!
But is it normal that I was bleeding two days (first was kinda heavy and very VERY painful) and then 2-3 had some brown spotting?
I'm usually bleeding all 4: from heaviest to lightest.
Sorry, just trying to get used to my body when on COCs!

Withdrawal bleed
Wanted to ask:
if I get my "period" after 3 days on the 7-day break on COCs, it means that I did not get pregnant on previous cycle?

Re: Birth control interactions
Thanks for the advice! I also wanted to ask if I start my second pack (I recently started birth control) after the 7 day break, am I protected from the first day or not? I'm a little bit worried, because I will be vaccinated from HPV and not quite sure if it does something to my birth control. Yes, ...

I get that!
But it's something like pushing and pulling: I keep going back to them articles, even though now I know they're not evidence-based!

Re: Birth control interactions
I've read these articles, but seeing the headline "a number of foods that can make your birth control ineffective" makes me curious. As it's says: curiosity killed the cat. sometimes I get nervous about what I'm eating or if I should eat it at all! Lame

Re: Birth control interactions
Thank you! Also, I've been reading about what foods and herbs interfere with birth control pills and I've noticed that chamomile is one of them. Is it true? Can it reduce the effectiveness of oral contraceptives? Also, what about dairy products? Some days I drink a glass of milk with my breakfast or...

And also, if I drank that juice for example 4 days everyday, it still would not have any impact on the effectiveness?

Re: Birth control interactions
I also want to add that in my contraceptives manual it is written that grapefruit juice may have an impact on dienogest increase in plasma and I should use barrier contraception when taking it and 7 days after. I wanted to ask this because my COC's aren't the same ones as there is in USA - they're p...

Birth control interactions
Hey guys, I wanted to ask if there could be an interaction between birth control pills and grapefruit juice? I don't remember when I drank them and also they weren't raw(only) grapefruit juice, they were mixed with some other fruit. The problem is that I don't know how much it lowers the pill effect...
Re: ovulation
I think I'm a quite responsible "pill taker": I always take it on time (even minutes matter to me), never forget them if I'm going somewhere.
I've read your article about backing up birth control, so I think I got my answers! Thanks

Re: ovulation
What about withdrawal + the pill? Would it be effective after the first 7 days?
Re: ovulation
By the way, I don't know exactly where to ask this kind of question, BUT: Do I need to have extra protection if I recently started the pill? Some people are saying that if it's the first pack in your life ever, even if you started taking from the first day of your period, you should still use protec...
Re: ovulation
I think that would definitely work!
