oh thank you! thats good to know.
it also doesn’t necessarily mean that my birth control is any less effective right? i’m still going to be using condoms as a back up for my own peace of mind, but essentially my birth control is still protecting me as normal?

hi there! should i be worried about some spotting while on birth control? ive had some super mild spotting for about 3 days (as in its a slight bit of pink or red brown discharge) while still on my active pills (its my last week of active pills) i’ve been taking these pills for a little more than a ...

bc concern
i started this months pack about a day late (maybe 21 hours or so?) i know its important to start the new pack on time but i was wondering if it decreases the effectiveness of the bc by a whole lot? like would there be enough of a gap from the placebo week plus that one extra day for my hormones to ...

weird twitching?
helloo me again :) So recently I’ve been experiencing twitching in my lower abdomen? In the area where you normally get cramps. The twitching feels like a normal muscle twitch, kind of like when your leg twitches or something, and is not painful just kinda weird. I’m fairly sure I’m not pregnant and...

yes thank you so much!
Re: BC Pill
Thank you so much for clearing it up! Does this also apply even at the start of a new pack? (after you have the week of placebo pills?)
BC Pill
I’ve just been wondering about what constitutes a late or missed pill? I’m taking a combi pill and some articles say that as long as I take it on the same day I’m protected whereas others say I should take it within the same 3 hour period. There was one time that I took it 3 hours later than usual, ...

depo shot experiences
this is my first year starting the depo shot and i’m only on my second shot so far, so i’m fairly unfamiliar to all the side effects and stuff. i know that it can affect your periods and since my last shot, i’ve been consistently spotting for over 2 months. aside from that i’ve been feeling really b...
depo shot
hi there! i was wondering if your first ever depo shot could affect your period already? i just got my first depo shot (i’ve never been on birth control before then) and was supposedly due for my period a few days after i got it, but its been about a week since and still no period so i’m just a litt...

Re: I want to move on
Yeah, I think learning not to fixate will be very helpful. But I’m not quite sure how to go about doing that. My friends have super supportive too, they help me not think about it. The problem is only when I’m alone because the only thing I can really focus on is myself :< I checked out the link you...

Re: I want to move on
I think it’s mainly because I feel like I don’t know what’s going on in my body anymore? I’ve always been in tune with the way my body feels and my cycles were pretty regular. Then suddenly after the scare things got kinda out of whack and now nothing feels normal. I’m getting random dull aches on t...

I want to move on
Idk if this is the right section buuuuut Hi there, this isn’t a pregnancy scare because I’ve already ruled out that possibility (4 negative tests and 2 periods since) but rather just kind of a vent post to release my feelings? It’s kinda long but I don’t know where to turn to anymore because I feel ...

Re: 2 periods?
Sure! I’d like to ask, can I just go to any obgyn to get a check up? Like what if for one check up I go to this person and then another check up I go to a different one? I ask this because I want to visit one by myself just to make sure I’m okay and then eventually switch to the same one my mom goes...

Re: 2 periods?
I haven’t visited any obgyns yet so I haven’t done any testing so far. The bleeding is a lot heavier now, much more like my period. I read that sometimes shorter cycles can just happen randomly and then it becomes normal again afterwards. I asked some of my friends too and they’ve said that sometime...

Re: 2 periods?
Update: it kinda feels like my period but a slightly lighter version of it. I get that “flow” feeling when I stand up after sitting down for a while.
It’s only been a little more than a week since my period ended last and my cycles are normally 32 days long.

2 periods?
If you’re cycle is normally regular, is it something to worry about if you have 2 periods in one month? Okay, I’m not sure if it’s actually another period but it’s roughly ovulation time for me and I woke up with some brown spotting and when I went to wash there was some fresh, red blood. Should I c...

Spotting
Hi! Just wondering if this is normal or a cause for concern.
I recently just finished my period and then two days after the bleeding stopped I noticed two small dots of blood on my underwear. Is light spotting after a period a normal thing?

Re: Sperm and Water
Back again!
So without very (as in VERY) deliberate contact between semen and a vagina (or vulva), it’s highly unlikely that it would result in anything? Regardless if it was mixed with water or not.
Just to clarify, sorry!

Re: Sperm and Water
Ah, I suppose my question doesn’t really make sense haha. What if that sperm and water mixture did come in contact to the vagina? Does the water create an easier passageway so to speak? Or does the water affect the sperm since it requires such a specific environment to survive in? Thank you for taki...

Sperm and Water
What happens if sperm is mixed with water? In one of your articles it says that sperm is fairly fragile so if they were to be mixed with water would that damage the sperm and thus make it less likely for them to travel and fertilize an egg? And how fragile is sperm actually? Just curious since I’ve ...
