Re: Can this even be the first symptom?

You have helped - thank you~
If only we could diagnose ourselves, but oh well! As I mentioned in another thread, I'll make sure to get everything checked as soon as possible.

Re: Can this even be the first symptom?

Thank you for this answer too! Now that I think about it, I am "just" bloated, and I did gain a little weight lately - not only in that area. Still, I know it may be best to check it asap. Does Scarleteen website have any article about things such as PCOS, cysts or hormonal imbalance? I wa...

Re: Missing periods = not ovulating?

Thank you for your answer! Yeah, I will definitely make an appointment as soon as possible, but I posted here since I wasn't able to find specific information about this anywhere else. Also, do missing periods automatically mean that a person is not ovulating? Or ovulation is still possible and we j...

Missing periods = not ovulating?

I'm 20 and I haven't had a period in almost 6 months - I'm going to get it checked (although it's not the first time), but I was still wondering if it means I haven't been ovulating. Or is it not that related?

Can this even be the first symptom?

I was wondering if gaining weight in stomach area could come before any other pregnancy symptom. As far as I know, it isn't an early symptom, so it doesn't make sense for it to be the first/only one, but maybe I'm wrong.

Period question

Hello again, Scarleteen! I know periods tend to be irregular (mine have always been), but I was wondering if it was normal that I get one when I've had it only 3 weeks ago. I was supposed to get it in January (17th or something), but I didn't, and it came on February 5th, I think. It was finally nor...

Implantation bleeding question

Can it happen only once in one pregnancy? Only in the first month? Or it can happen multiple times?
(Not implying that I've experienced it or something, I just wanted to get informed!)

Re: I was wondering how to approach this topic with my mom..

Just thought I'd let you know that everything went well and I had nothing to be afraid of related to asking my mom. She herself suggested that he and I sleep in the same room/bed, so I didn't even have to ask. :) Also, our behavior won't be a problem.

Re: How do you understand your own orientation?

I never thought about this that much before. I'm quite sure I am emotionally/romantically and sexually attracted to men - well, people who identify as men - but to a certain degree I'm kind of attracted to non-binary people as well - I'm not really sure in what way - but I still don't know if that m...

Re: I was wondering how to approach this topic with my mom..

Well, I know, but I've never been in a situation like that before, it's the first time I'm bringing a significant other home (it's my first SO ever anyway) so I was wondering what I should pay attention to.

Re: I was wondering how to approach this topic with my mom..

Yes, all that makes sense. About the shame I'm having, I'm not sure, it's not really a 'problem', it just makes it a little awkward talking about some deep and personal feelings to a member of the family. I also hope it won't be awkward with her the whole time he's there. Of course we won't keep kis...

Re: I was wondering how to approach this topic with my mom..

Thank you for support - I think I'm going to talk to her tomorrow! I'm a little concerned just because I'm not used to talking about such topics with her - she is very warm, caring, and open to talk about anything, but I'm always kind of ashamed when talking about very personal things. And well, I t...

I was wondering how to approach this topic with my mom...

My boyfriend of 2 years (we're both 18) is coming over to my hometown for holidays. He and I live in a different town since we go to school there. My mom seems to be totally okay with that, but she told me to think about sleeping patterns. We only have 2 rooms with beds in them, since our apartment ...
