Quick Question

Unread post by raily_ »

Hi! So this is not a really important question, hence I posted it here because I didn't exactly know where to post it. I see where it says if you are a "newbie or staff volunteer, etc" and I was wondering how you become a volunteer. What does the entail?

Hi Raily,

Good question! So, when and how we put out asks for new volunteers has varied over the years, but generally what happens is, once we have applications, we as a team read over them and decide who we think would be a good fit as a volunteer here. Then we go through interviews with each volunteer and make the final call as to whether to invite them to train in as one. Then volunteers go through training before, and then they start, well, volunteering.
And you to whom adversity has dealt the final blow/with smiling bastards lying to you everywhere you go/turn to and put out all your strength of arm and heart and brain/and like the Mary Ellen Carter rise again.
