Pregnancy Scare
Hello everyone! I hope 2025 is treating you all well so far. I know what I'm about to ask might sound stupid, but I am anxious about it and could use some advice. I'm F(22). About two weeks ago, I was at my boyfriend's house and we touched each other, but no PIV occurred. It happened right at the beginning of my fertile window, according to my app. I know apps aren't that reliable, especially if you want to track your ovulation, but after a few days, I had ovulating symptoms (cervical mucus). What makes me so anxious is that I'm supposed to get my period in 3 days and I have zero symptoms of PMS (pimples and tender breasts). This has never happened to me before. I had late periods in the past and I still had those symptoms before even knowing that it was going to be a late period. Another thing that makes me very nervous is that 5 days ago I saw some spotting and, again, this is the first time it happened to me. I want to mention that he never finished, but I'm just so scared that he might've fingered me after touching himself. I wish I could convince myself this is impossible, but I genuinely can't. The spotting and the missing symptoms don't help at all. Also, the fact that this happened at the beginning of my ovulation is making me feel like there's a chance, even if it's almost insignificant. Also, I didn't touch myself after giving him a handjob. Thank you to anyone who answers. Take care!

Re: Pregnancy Scare
Hi there, welcome to the boards! What you've described does not pose a risk of pregnancy, you can read more about what does and doesn't here, as well as read other resources we have on pregnancy anxiety: Pregnancy Scare Resources.
The changes in your cycle sound like they're hormonal but that doesn't mean you're pregnant. It's common for periods to change over the years, and missed or late periods aren't always a sign of pregnancy. Illness, unmanaged stress, hormonal or body changes, eating disorders, exercise, and birth control can all affect a menstrual cycle. If things keep changing and you're worried it's a health issue, we recommend to see a healthcare professional.
