Nexplanon wait time?

What's the Nexplanon wait time? I've been reading different answers to this question all over. I was told a week but now I've read anything from no wait time to a few weeks to several months. I had sex on the seventh day of having it inserted but I'm wondering if I Should have waited longer. Is a week enough time?
