Pro-Woman, Profitable Erotica

Unread post by meridamulan3264 »

Hi, Scarleteen!

Thanks for all your helpful answers and advice in the past. You do important work. I'm hoping you can help me now too!

I am a woman who, during the pandemic lockdown, finally had time to start writing my own erotica! I've enjoyed reading it for several years, and always thought I'd be good at it, and if I do say so myself I think my stories are pretty great. Writing erotica has been empowering and pleasurable for me, and I'd like to make a little money on the side from selling some of these stories.

My problem is, I don't want to post/sell just anywhere. For one thing, it's important that I preserve my anonymity for the sake of my current job (which I wish to continue to have for the foreseeable future). Also, I'm wary of sites like PornHub and others that have been caught in the past exploiting illegal and abusive videos of women without their consent. It's important to me that I not support or receive money from any company or site that allows the mistreatment of women. I read almost all of my erotica on Bellesa, but their erotica submissions are closed for now and I don't want to wait.

Basically, the erotica/porn industry is really large and intimidating, and I don't really know where to start when it comes to publishing in a pro-woman, anonymous way that would let me make some money. Maybe it's not possible. But I figured I'd ask if you had any ideas about sites that are accepting submissions, or other ways to self-start. Thanks for taking the time to read! Have a nice day!

Hi meridamulan3264,

I don't have a ton of advice, since this a little out of our wheelhouse, but I know Cleis Press used to be a place for this kind of content, so they may be a good starting place.
And you to whom adversity has dealt the final blow/with smiling bastards lying to you everywhere you go/turn to and put out all your strength of arm and heart and brain/and like the Mary Ellen Carter rise again.
