Took my new pill at a later timing

Hi,

I am on Yasmin and I take it for 21 days straight and 7 days pill free.
So I was just done from my 7 pill free days and today I was supposed to take my first pill from the new pack but I totally forgotten until now, which is 5.30pm. For my last pack, I usually Take it around 10.30am to 11am. Now that I took my first pill at 5.30pm, will that be alright? Can I take my pill tomorrow in the morning instead of in the evening? I prefer the morning timings as it’s more convenient.

Hi Julia,

I'm happy to say you can continue to take it at your most convenient time and expect it to be as effective as ever.

The instructions on the packet usually say that if you take it within 12 hours of your usual time it has no impact on the effectiveness.

Taking it at the same time everyday however is still strongly recommended, not necessarily because of effectiveness, buyt because it makes a huge difference in how easy it is to miss a pill when there is no routine.

Long story short, it sounds like you're good to carry on as normal!
