Bowel movements and the pill
Bowel movements and the pill
Sorry to make another post so soon but I just wanted to clear up a question. I have been having looser than normal bowel movements and was concerned that it will effect the absorption of my pill. I'm on Tri-Sprintec and I haven't been having frequent bowel movements (they're the same frequency as normal, not really any time after taking my pill as far as I remember), and they're just loose stools that aren't watery. I don't have any stomach upset and this has only been going on since yesterday.
Thanks for all your help, guys!

Re: Bowel movements and the pill
It only takes about an hour for your body to absorb the pill, so you should be protected just fine. If you're having frequent diarrhea and/or vomiting it's a good idea to back the Pill up with a condom for a cycle, but since your stools aren't watery, just loose, and aren't super frequent, there's no need to worry!
