Hair in urethra

(Male) I just remembered something that happened when I was about 10 and I have been very curious about it, one day I was going to the restroom as usual but I discovered I had a hair stuck pretty far down my urethra, this had never happened before nor has it happened since. All I had to do was pull it out and I was fine but I was wondering how something like this can happen? Has this happened to anybody else?

Hey Cherrycrab -- it's my understanding that though hair can get stuck in a penis' urethra (and lead to some pretty serious complications), it can be on the rarer side. It sounds like a stray hair found itself near your penis and got pushed in. I also wanted to offer that the accounts I've read characterize it as a very painful experience, both when the strand is in the penis and when they pull it out. You didn't mention it being painful, so it's possible the hair you had in yours was maybe not as far down as you thought. Either way, I'm glad it was simple process for you!
