Hi lycheefan,

Nope, in the case of the combination pill there is not a weight cut-off for when it stops being effective. Too, as with all birth control, when people have concerns that something about their body or healthy history might influence it's effectiveness, that's something to raise with the healthcare provider when choosing the method or ask a pharmacist.
