i don’t get porn.
it feels fake and u never see the girls cum and it’s so catered to men, i just don’t understand it. i was looking for a video with two younger girls (bc i am young and that is what i want to see not milfs) who actually like each other and talk and communicate and consent and have fun and cum at the end. i feel like it doesn’t exist though. and i’m not into anything i’ve watched.
so what i’m asking is is it normal to not like porn bc everyone else does and i’m frustrated by this.
sorry for the rant

Hi dreaminglucid,
So, there are plenty of people out there who don't like porn, period, so you're not alone in that. There are also plenty of people out there who do enjoy it, but have found that what they enjoy is porn that's not made by mainstream companies and is instead made by women or queer folks that feels more in sync with what they enjoy and value. There are also plenty of people who enjoy porn that's written rather than on video (think things like fanfiction or romance novels) and find that they can locate the diversity or sexual dynamics they enjoy there.
In the end, it's really up to you whether you want to engage with porn or other sexual media at all; if you don't like it, then there's no reason to push yourself to use it just because other people do.

You know, a quick correction I have learned for myself that has been really helpful to me over many years is this:
If I ever hear myself talking in broad absolutes -- saying NO ONE or everyone, for instance -- I stop the thought by reminding myself those aren't real. There's just nothing that absolute that exists.
Doing that can be helpful in a lot of ways, but one, I think, is by making me feel less isolated in things where I have convinced myself I'm the only person different in some way.
I say this, because not everyone likes porn. A lot of people actually don't, at least as many are apathetic about it, and when we consider the diversity of porn, all of those feelings get especially diverse and fluid. So yeah, it's common (AKA, "normal") to not like porn in general, and even more common to find that you don't like a lot of it you've found, especially in mainstream porn.
Now, what you're describing does exist in some independent LGBTQ+ porn, if that's something you did want to explore, but with a couple caveats -- people do still need to be of legal age to do the work in the first place, and this kind of sexual media is rarely something you fill find on free porn sites or the like. In part because the people making it tend to care a lot more about consent and fair labor practices than other options, it tends to only be available with paid access.
