So, before we get into the details, I think an important starting place is to remember that you are the ultimate decider when it comes to what label, if any, you use to describe your sexual orientation. We can certainly offer information and advice, but at the end of day you're the expert on what language resonates with you and describes your experiences.

A starting place I really like is a section in this article: The Rainbow Connection: Orientation for Everyone. Under the heading "How and When Do you Know?" are a bunch of things to consider when trying to puzzle out your sexual orientation. For instance, when you think about who you have/had crushes on or attraction to, are they all people of one gender? Or have there been multiple genders represented?
