Masturbating
I’ve been trying to masturbate for a while now, but every time I try I feel good but can never get past that. Like, I’ve never orgasmed. But I feel like my body is different with others because I took a workshop on puberty and beyond and they talked about the clit, which I have never found on myself, and I like to press on my lower belly for sexual pleasure but the workshop didn’t talk about that. I’m unsure if the felling of pleasure I feel from pressing on my lower belly is normal, and if other people have it, and I’m worried I don’t actually have a clot since I’ve looked for it but never found it.
The question here would be: is my body normal and why can’t I orgasm?

Hi LisaRose!
I want to start out by saying: yes, your body is absolutely normal. Everyone experiences pleasure in slightly different ways and something that feels good for one person might not have any effect on another, or vice versa. Specifically, what you were speaking about with the pressure on the lower belly is something that many other people also find enjoyable. Putting pressure there can stimulate the g-spot which lies on the wall of the vagina close to the belly (you can see it in the article attached). So, pressing on that location can push that sensitive area more into the vaginal canal thereby increasing stimulation and pleasure.
School presentations on sexual anatomy can not always be the most helpful, to say the least. In this article (Innies & Outies) there is very detailed information with diagrams about all the parts of the vulva and vagina that you may find helpful in locating your clit. Once reading it through are you still unable to find your clitoris? Or did it bring up new questions for you?

Re: Masturbating
Thank you for your answer and the link.
I did a little digging (kinda literally) and I think I found my clit but it looks to be right under the hole for my urethra. According to the link, it should be between the mons and the urethra, but there is nothing there. I’m kinda confused. Should I got see a specialist?

Re: Masturbating
Hi LisaRose,
So, you're right that the clitoris is between the mons and the urethra. I wonder if what you're seeing is actually the point where the two sides of your labia meet; that could look a little similar to the clitoris, especially if you're still getting familiar with what your genitals look like. It sounds like more exploration and getting familiar with your vulva and the surrounding area is probably what will be helpful, rather than going to a specialist.

And you to whom adversity has dealt the final blow/with smiling bastards lying to you everywhere you go/turn to and put out all your strength of arm and heart and brain/and like the Mary Ellen Carter rise again.
