Bcp question
Bcp question
Hi there!
My question is, I'm coming to the end of my placebo week of my birth control pills. I'm supposed to start the new pack tomorrow (Sunday). However, I'm home from college and accidentally left them at school. I might not be able to start the new pack until Monday or Tuesday. If I start late, how long until I am protected from pregnancy again? I'm confused on if I should use backup for 7 days or the whole month (I usually use condoms anyway). Thanks!

Re: Bcp question
If you look up the name of your pill online, you should be able to find a copy of the patient information that comes with your pills, and the instructions about what to do if you miss one or more pills will be in there. It's generally recommended that you use a backup method for at least seven days, but there's no harm in backing up with another method for the whole month, either.

Re: Bcp question
I guess my question was, the same rules for missed pills still apply if it's the start of a new pack?
