hey sorry if i asked this question before, i have bad memory and sifting through all my previous posts would just be a chore.

basically sometimes i get horny when im on my period, but i try to keep myself from masturbating or looking at porn, mainly bc idk how to masturbate on my period without getting totally turned off and/or just grossed out from getting blood all over my hands and stuff. ik that keeping myself from masturbating and stuff is probably not super healthy, so is there any way i can make things work??

If or how someone masturbates during their period depends on a variety of things, including how comfortable they are with menstrual fluid (fun fact, only around 35% of menstrual flow is blood) and how easy clean up is going to be. Some people might choose to do it in the bath or the shower, others might use a sex toy that allows them to not have to touch themselves directly, others might use gloves, and some decide they're just going to roll with any mess that happens.

Too, there's nothing inherently unhealthy about deciding not to masturbate under certain circumstances, even if you feel the urge to. It's something that happens to basically everyone now and then, and while it can be frustrating it's not going to cause you any harm to have to skip it. So if there doesn't turn out to be anything that helps you feel comfortable masturbating while on your period, that's totally okay too.

personally, menstrual blood and being in contact with it is kinda a turn off for me and kinda grosses me out. i could use gloves but im still not too sure how seeing the blood/fluid would make me feel. i really do wanna do the deed but all that stuff is sorta getting in my way and im not super sure how to work around it.

Similar to what Sam said, it's totally okay to not masturbate under those conditions if it makes you uncomfortable, even if you really want to. Encountering blood while masturbating on your period might not be the easiest thing to work around, other than maybe doing it in the shower/bath or showering right before doing it. Although, it's not unlikely that you will encounter blood. I wish we had a better answer to give you!
