If a celebrity wrote on Scarleteen’s boards or live chats prior to their fame, would the website be willing to remove them?

Hi Anonymous275,

Since chats are never public to begin with, those would not be removed. With the boards, we do say in the user agreement that once something is posted, the user does not have the ability to delete posts, which is why we urge people to do things like use a username that isn't remotely like their real name, and not include details that would be personally identifying.

That being said, if someone was concerned that a post here posed a danger or other issue to a user, they could reach out to us and we could go from there.

I mean if it were potentially identifying information.

Hi Privacy1234!

If it helps, a few of your posts have already been moved to a part of the boards that only staff members and volunteers can see on your request. If there is still information that could pose some risk, users can use this contact form to explain the issue.
