Hello everyone!
So this morning I took a pregnancy test, keep in mind the situation I’m in, could that even cause pregnancy? If there was precum involved, how could that survive from making out then 3 minutes later going down on me? Doesn’t make sense?
Basically I took a test and it had a little skinny blue line that didn’t even go half way down??? My period didn’t start and I’m currently 1 day late, should I be worried?

Hey there Kasi,

If you’re referring to the situation you described in your previous posts, our answer to that is the same: this situation does not pose a risk to pregnancy. If there were any sperm cells present in the pre-ejaculate (which is not always the case), they would be diluted even further in the saliva and really wouldn’t survive the transfer from your mouth, to their mouth, then to your genitals. That’s why we say that *indirect* contact with pre-ejaculate does not pose a risk to pregnancy.

The day your period starts can vary naturally by a few days, so you are not truly late yet and I wouldn’t worry! On top of that, pregnancy tests are helpful in easing anxiety because the negative result can be relieving to see, but it’s important to follow the test instructions and wait the appropriate amount of time before viewing the result. Sometimes the line won’t make it all the way down if not enough time has elapsed. The instructions will also tell you how to determine if the result you’re seeing is negative.

It sounds like you’re having some persistent worries about pregnancy. Sometimes, we find that when worries about pregnancy risk continue past providing education, it can help at that point to talk about if there’s any deeper worries you’re struggling with that might be popping up as pregnancy anxiety. With that in mind, would you say you’re mostly concerned about pregnancy risk, or do you find yourself worried or anxious about other things in your life too? We’d be happy talk with you about it if that’s something you’d like to do. :)
