Too anxious to orgasm? (22NB)

Hi there. I'm a 22 y.o. transmasc person, and I find reaching orgasm while masturbating really difficult. The only times it happens is with a vibrator and specific types of porn, and even then the chances are 50/50. I wonder if part of it has to do with the fact that I have an anxiety disorder, and that anxiety is heightened by various factors of my living conditions (I live with my parents and two younger siblings, so I often fear getting caught masturbating or cleaning my vibrator, and also feel I have to reach orgasm as quickly as possible). I get embarassed talking about anything sex-related with my parents, and have no idea how or if it's okay to broach the subject with my therapist, so I thought I would turn here. Thank you in advance to anyone who replies!

Hi freckled rabbit!

All those factors can for sure get in the way of being able to enjoy masturbation, especially if you're feeling you need to rush it! Is there any way you can make sure you'll get the privacy you need (e.g. lock on your door etc)

I'd say any good therapist worth their salt should be able to talk about this though, especially if it overlaps with navigating your family dynamic - which I'd think would be a big topic for therapy!

Thank you, Jacob! I do have a lock on my door, but I get nervous about people knocking, even if it's the middle of the night. I think I'll bring this up to my therapist the next time I see them as well.
