Fantasies as an exploring fluid person

Unread post by WhatAmI »

I’m a genderfluid individual who has pretty recently come to terms with themself, and there have been a slew of new fantasies that are very new to me. For example, being forced to wear a skirt when in boy mode, and being degraded using feminine terms. This would likely never work in real life, but it’s appeared more than once. Also-a newfound love for a partner engaging in what I call “gender fuckery” , including cross dressing, intentional use of opposite pronouns and terms etc.
Just wanted to know if this was a common experience for genderqueer people. I have no issue with them at all, and I think I’ve accepted them wholeheartedly, just like the bundle of kinks that was just thrust upon me one day. (This has nothing to do with this but I genuinely am really happy about not feeling shame or guilt about myself and my sexuality and identity. Thank you all the wonderful folks that run this website)

Hello and welcome to the boards, WhatAmI! I'm glad to hear that you've been able to accept yourself wholeheartedly, and that we may have helped with that!

To answer your question, it isn't unusual or uncommon for someone to come to terms with their gender and also develop new fantasies in relation to that. There are plenty of other genderqueer/trans people with experience like yours.

If I may ask, what leads you to the conclusion that your fantasies would never work in real life?

Mainly dysphoria. I’ve tried wearing feminine clothing while in boy mode, but it just triggers a lot of discomfort. Maybe it would be possible without a lot of finetuning and experimentation ? Overall I still think fantasy is the best way to explore this part of me.

Agh, I'm sorry to hear about the dysphoria <3

I think you are right that it is possible that this is something that could only work in specific contexts, like in fantasy. Enjoying certain activities more in theory than you do in real life is normal.
