Hi Scarleteen,
I have a bit of a silly question. I am currently a little ways past halfway through my active pills for the month. This morning I had to have my blood drawn for a class I'm taking. Blood draws give me terrible terrible anxiety and as a result last night about an hour or after taking my pill I felt super super sick and queasy out of anticipation for the procedure. Though my digestive system overall felt awful out of stress, I never actually threw up or was sick in any way. Would feeling so queasy and sick have potentially messed with my pill absorption in any way? Or does someone have to actually get sick for feeling ill to affect the medications effectiveness? Thanks so much for your help!

Re: Queasy on Birth Control?
Hi celica,
Yep, you would have to have actually thrown up in order to have potentially compromised your pill. So, if you didn't, there's no need to worry.

And you to whom adversity has dealt the final blow/with smiling bastards lying to you everywhere you go/turn to and put out all your strength of arm and heart and brain/and like the Mary Ellen Carter rise again.
