i look at my vagina and clitoris in the mirror all the time and on it there's this sort of spongy pink area behind the actual glans but under the hood. its like the glans is the tip of it? i looked it up and its called a "corona" but i cant find much info about it. if i look up clitoral anatomy its not mentioned anywhere and if i look at pictures of clits only some of them have it. anyways, when i rub my clit i cant get pleasure unless i rub this area too. is this anatomically normal? and is it normal that i can only feel pleasure if i touch that specific area?

Hello and welcome to the boards, Mothlikeanangel!

This is an interesting question! We can't see what you see, so it might take some thinking to figure out what this body part is. Usually, when I hear about a corona in this area, I think of the vaginal corona, otherwise known as the hymen. That seems a bit far, given that this should be behind the clitoral glans and under the hood... Here, my first guesses would be that this is an external part of the clitoral shaft or an extension of the glans itself.

Though we're not sure of the name of this body part just yet, I think I can say that everything you've described sounds perfectly fine. It doesn't seem like there is any harm, and it does seem to be in line with what we know about the diversity of how bodies and pleasure work. You know that there are other people with anatomy like yours from the pictures you saw--I hope that helps with any concerns you have.
