pregnancy scare?
Hello! So ive recenetly read on this website that precum on fingers cant get you pregnant and my boyfriend washed his hands before touching me after he touched himself , however im still sooo so worried that im somehow pregnant, could taking a pregnancy test help ease this anxiety as ive been putting off the idea for a while but my light period in november really freaked me out so idk just some reassurance would help a lot

Re: pregnancy scare?
Hi there! I see we just gave you that reassurance just yesterday. That conversation ended very clear in that pregnancy doesn't happen this way. Taking a pregnancy test could help ease your anxiety, but it most likely won't, since reassurance (both in the form of a sex educator telling you and a negative pregnancy test) only helps for a little bit but doesn't actually help the anxiety overall. So we can't keep giving you reassurance of something we already explained, however, we can talk about the anxiety and try to help you manage it. Have you felt this anxious about pregnancy for a long time, or is this new?

Re: pregnancy scare?
Hi!! I took a test earlier and the result said negative which has honestly helped a lot knowing that im okay and my period was probably just lighter from the amount of stress I was putting on myself. I havent felt this anxious about pregnancy ever but i think since what im doing is very new, im going to have a talk with my boyfriend about how i want to take things slower and how id like for us to maybe not engage in manual sex for a while as i believe that would help me

I am glad you were able to use the test to see that you were not pregnant. I am also happy to hear you feel comfortable speaking to your boyfriend about this and setting boundaries. What do you think you might say to him?
