hello sorry im here again , me and my boyfriend have recently started having sex and im on the pill and take it perfectly (apart from last pack where i had to adjust the timing a few hours earlier because of travel) and he also wears extra safe durex condoms. Every time we have had sex the condom hasnt broke and ive seen all the semen inside it and we dont do any direct genital contact before that? im really nervous though because one of my boobs is feeling more sensitive than the other and ive got one normal pill left until my withdrawal bleed. should i be okay as theres always been cum inside the condom??

Hi again! In certain parts of the menstrual cycle--like when it's supposed to be your ovulation phase or leading to your period--it's normal for your breasts to feel mores sensitive. It doesn't necessarily mean a sign of pregnancy. As long as you regularly take your pills, it should be okay; a little adjustment like you made won't eliminate the efficacy of the pill.

I’m glad to hear this soothed your worried and that you’ve been practicing safer sex! Sounds like there’s really no risk of pregnancy here, but I see that this has been a source of anxiety before. Do you find yourself struggling with anxiety more generally, or is it mostly about pregnancy risk?

Are you sure theres no risk because i thought p in v did have a risk unless thats just when a condom breaks or something im not too sure lol, i do struggle with anxiety a lot but its mainly worse when it comes to pregnancy

You’re right that no method is 100% effective! But, if the condom remained intact and on, you can be sure it did its job to protect you from pregnancy. Sometimes, it can also help to take a pregnancy test, just so you have the negative result staring you in the face. Is that something you’re able to do?

I hear you about the anxiety, though. Are you getting treated for this, with professional counseling for example?

Ohhh i see, everytime weve had sex its always remained intact and on and we use extra safe durex ones. Im planning on trying to get one when i have the time but im just gonna wait and see if my withdrawal bleed comes. I do counselling every monday and shes really helpful however ive only recently started so shes learning more about me
