Ejaculation not feeling good in masturbation?

Unread post by UsernameTaken »

Hi! I've literally never posted anything online before let alone about this kind of topic so im a bit nervous, forgive me if i miss etiquette or something :D

So I'm 14 and male, and have been masturbating pretty consistently for maybe 2 years?
I can ejaculate, but don't get the "wave crashing" in my head feeling or really anything special that I've heard about - it feels good, but not like mind-blowing - just like i masturbate, ejaculate without any change in that feeling.

I think I had an orgasm one time like 9 months ago where I finished and it felt so much better than normal - like a wave in my head - and there is one episode that I remember from years ago where my mind went blank and I just felt amazing- but all I did there was like think some not that steamy thoughts, without any touch, so idk if that even happened.

I've tried different positions, different speeds, pressures - everything, but no change in feeling.

I know im supposed to not think about the orgasm, and the masturbation itself feels good, but I'd like to experience a stronger orgasm, or even just one at all.

Sorry this came out so wordy! just curious

thanks

Hi UsernameTaken and welcome!!

It is very common for orgasms to not be a one-size-fits-all experience. They are experienced differently by each person and each time.

Another factor here could be puberty! Orgasms will likely change significantly for you as you continue to get older.

In the meantime, our brains are our most powerful sex organ! Although the different 'techniques' you mentioned are a great start, changes to what we are thinking about/focused on may also be worth a try.

I also want to throw out this article on our site which goes over everything orgasm -- Sexual Response & Orgasm: A Users Guide

How does all that sound?

Hi, thanks for this -
I'm actually curious about something you said - changes to what we're focused on?
The message boards on the site (which I'm so glad to have found btw) seem to say that people not much older than I am consume (how to say) like steamy/explicit material?
As far as I'm aware that's like NOT allowed when you're under 18, at least in England.
Can you shed some light on that and what kind of things people my age ish look at? (if that's like ok idrk about this stuff)

Thanks again!

Hi there, Usernametaken! We are glad you are here too! <3

I hope it is alright that I am responding because I am on shift--I think I can guess at what Amber meant when they suggested changing your focus: Sexual pleasure is not just about what you do to your body--the kinds of stimulation/techniques you use or the positions you try. It is a lot about what happens in your mind. Your first post talks a bit about the former, but not so much about what goes on in your head while you masturbate. I think Amber's suggestion is that it can often help to explore different kinds of fantasies, or different ways of thinking about our body. Here is our resource about that, if you would like to read it:How to Approach Sexual Fantasy and Desire on Your Own Terms

I'm hearing that you are asking about why some of our users who are around your age seem to watch sexual media, even though that isn't allowed by regulation in many places, including where you live. I am not an expert on the law, but I can try to shed some light: As you know, lots of young people are interested in sex. As people do, many seek out art and media about the thing that they are interested in, or they make their own. Regulations exist to keep young people from seeing things that they are not ready to see, but an interest in sex and sexual media among teens and young adults is common and healthy. We don't advise going against the regulations where you live, but our goal here is to provide shame-free and inclusive sex education. To do that, we need to make sure this is a space where people can be honest when they ask their questions. Does that make sense?

As for what the people your age look at... I think there is no one answer to that. People are different and like different things, and so they seek out different kinds of media, you know?
