Vibrator not effective internally?

Unread post by Rubberduck »

My boyfriend and I have just got an internal (bullet) vibrator for me to use. However, when we inserted it (vaginally) and turned it on, I found I could feel the vibrations but they weren't pleasurable. They weren't painful either, just... vibrations I suppose. However, external clitoral stimulus worked incredibly well.
I feel horrible that it hasn't worked, and I've tried looking it up but I have no clue why it doesn't work internally, so I thought I'd ask here.
Is this normal?
Can I do anything about it?
Thank you in advance :D

Oh goodness, Rubberduck (great name!), there's nothing to feel horrible about!

Not every toy or kind of stimulation will feel good to every person, or even every person all the time.

Now, it might be it wasn't being used right: mind sharing the brand and style so I can take a look at it for you to see?

But it might just be you don't like how intense vibration inside the vagina feels: that's okay, it's not for plenty of people. It might also be that you just don't like the kind this toy creates. But either way, it's nothing to worry or feel bad about. There are no right things to like or not like, we all are our own unique mix in terms of what feels good to us, both at a given time, and over a lifetime. <3
