hello, i’ve been searching for an actual guide but couldn’t find one here and the details on sex toy stores etc are a little vague. i want to get a rabbit vibrator, (nonporous silicone) and from what i understand and what ive read (also from the website i want to buy from)you take the batteries out, and then you use warm water and mild soap before and after use, like handwash. i’m just unsure what soap i could use, like what ingredients do i avoid, what soaps are safe etc. like can mild soaps have a scent? i dont want to buy the official toy cleaner bc i want to be discreet and also it’s expensive.

Hi again, maybelle.

It's fine to clean toys without a specialized toy cleaner. Just warm water and a gentle soap are fine, and so long as you rinse it well, it doesn't really matter what kind of soap you use. Be sure when you're washing it that you don't submerge it in water though, and that you cover any of the electrical portions of the toy, like by holding that part in your hand while you wash the toy. You might find that the easiest way to do this is by using a warm washcloth with a little soap, then rinsing the washcloth, then wiping the toy well with that rinsed washcloth.
