Discharge
I feel like I’ve been very wet (might not be right word?) lately. Like whenever I look at my underpants it feels like they’re very wet and I can see a bunch of vaginal discharge. Also yesterday I was at a friend’s house and I could just smell myself and I couldn’t handle it. The smell was bad imo. I havent had a period for a while (still not on an actual schedule yet). Is this normal? Is there a reason I’m producing so much discharge? Should I talk to my parents about it?

Re: Discharge
Hi PaintedWildDog,
I'll start by linking this very helpful guide: Honorably Discharged: A Guide to Vaginal Secretions
Have you noticed any changes in the consistency/texture of discharge? How about any symptoms like itching, burning, discomfort, or pain? Has this been something you've noticed for more than a few days in a row? That would point toward a potential infection, and would warrant talking to your parents and getting medical attention.
Because you mention your period is still regulating, this could also be part of hormonal changes. It is normal for smell, texture, and amount of discharge to fluctuate throughout a menstrual cycle. Depending on where you live, summer heat and sweat can also contribute to wet feelings and unpleasant odor. Wearing comfortably fitting (not too tight) cotton or natural fiber underwear can help with odor and reduce irritation/infection risk as well.

Re: Discharge
Thanks for the guide.
I feel like it can fluctuate. Sometimes it’s thicker and clumps slightly and sometimes it’s a lot more watery. I feel like I discharge some everyday but it’s been getting more noticeable. I have really noticed any pain or itchiness.
I feel like the heat didn’t affect the smell since I was mostly inside. Also I already wear cotton underpants.

Re: Discharge
What I would do in your case is keep an eye on things. If you notice things turn chunky (as opposed to thick- think cottage cheese, sorry if you love cottage cheese and this makes it unappealing), or consistently very watery; or if you notice itchiness/burning/pain, or things continue in a way that feels especially bothersome, it would be worth chatting with a doctor about. Some variation, and yes, smell, is normal!
