a question on periods

Unread post by hungrypenguin_ »

Hi everyone!

I really want to get this off my head because it's been bugging me for weeks and has truly drove me nuts.

I had my period on July 28th. Did i have sex before that? No. Did i have sex after my period? Also no. I'm techincally out of the woods.

I did have sex on may 29th during the third day of my period, but i got my period four weeks after that. I know people are gonna say, "take a pregnancy test!", but due to my circumstances ( I am still living with my very strict and religious family whom I depend on financially)

Today is the 28th of August my period still hasn't come yet, if i check my previous cycle from months back, it moves atleas a day or two, so i should be fine, right?

My mind keeps saying that I should check my stomach to see if it has grown bigger (which it has not) and what if i had a cryptic pregnancy and whatnot.

Did anyone went through the same situation as i did? Even if you didn't please do help me 😓

Thank you so much!

Hi hungrypenguin_! Just to make things clear, this specific forum* is only for direct communication between you and the staff/volunteers. If you're looking for responses from other users, we can help you move this topic to another forum.

To put it simply: yes, you're completely good to go here. You're not becoming pregnant. You've had two periods since the last time you had intercourse. Do you think there are outside factors, such as living in your strict parents' house or perhaps something else, that make you constantly worry that you might be pregnant? We can also help you discuss strategies for obtaining pregnancy tests and contraception in Jakarta that is discreet and safe for you, especially if you plan on having partnered sex in the future. Considering it's a major city (and one of the more developed ones at that), you might be at an advantage. Would you like to do that? (For transparency, I'm also Indonesian, and I might be able to redirect you to local resources.)

For now, I'll leave you with this article. We can discuss the possibilities mentioned in it, if you'd like: You're Not Pregnant. Why Do You Think You Are?
