Iud symptoms

Unread post by chacha123 »

On Friday I got a copper iud. I haven't had any bleeding or much cramping but im having brown discharge that smells a bit. I've had no pain but should I be concerned about infection or is this normal?

What information did the provider who inserted it for you give you when it came top what to be concerned about, and when to call in with your concerns? Too, before insertion, did they do the standard testing for preexisting infections?

They kinda gave general information to be concerned about excessive bleeding or if it moved and to know my own body and if anything really unusual happened to call maybe. And yes they gave me testing I had nothing preexisting.

Okay. So, you just want to go with that, then. If this seems very unusual to you, then you can go ahead and call, and if not, save it for your follow-up visit. :)
