Girlfriends birth control
Girlfriends birth control
Hi there, my girlfriend has been on tri prevfrim for over a year now. We recently decided to stop having sex due to religious morals. I have always used a condom while she has been on the pill and just two weeks ago on Monday she started her new pack. This very same day was the last time we had sex, with a condom. We haven't had any intercourse since, but three days ago she took an active pill from her pack 14 hours late and took the next one at the scheduled time. I am just asking if we are protected in the fact that the last action of intercourse was over a week before her taking the late pill? Thank you guys for all you're help, God bless.

Hi Ram1997,
If the last intercourse was two weeks before the late pill, then the late pill would not pose a risk from that incident. Plus, if that sex was with a condom, you had protection from that as well.

Can you explain to me why the late pill does not pose a risk? Sorry I'm just a little confused on that.

Basically, because the sex you were worried about happened two weeks before the late pill. So, when you had sex, you had the full protection of the pill, and that protection continued into the next few weeks. Does that make sense?
