Just want to make sure all of our community members know that we are going to be particularly short-handed this month, so you may have longer waits for responses from staff and volunteers than you're used to around here.
We will do our best to be as fast as we can, but:
1) Please do what you can to help by being sure to search the main site for answers first before posting a question, and to also look through the boards. This is part of the user registration agreement, and it's always important, but we could really use some extra effort there so that we can use the time we do have for questions there are not already answers to.
2) We will also do our best to stay as on top of moderating as we always are, but by all means, use the report button at the top of any post liberally. It's okay to err on the side of caution with that; we won't be bothered if someone reports something that it turns out is all fine. We'd rather be sure everything IS fine.
Thanks for your patience and understanding in advance!

Re: August: Fewer Staff, Longer Waits
Just giving this a bump to remind everyone.
And please, please pay attention to #1 there. It's not really cool to ask us to give you answers you've stated you already found on the site in the first place, but it's particularly inconsiderate when we have heavy traffic and light staff.
