Question

Hi there. I know that vomiting shortly after taking a pill can result in ineffective absorption of a pill, but I was just wondering if 'vomiting' caused by indigestion, i.e. vomiting in one's mouth (gross, I know) could also impact the pill in this way.

Thanks!

Sorry - I've just realised I may have posted this in the wrong thread, seeing as though I'm technically not a newbie. Sorry about that! I'm new to the new layout. :)

Hi Aj,

So, this is one of those scenarios where we're not 100% comfortable saying it had no effect on your pill. However, it takes 2-3 hours after taking a pill for the pill to absorb, so if the vomiting happened after that window, then it would not have had an effect.

Okay, thank you very much. It occurred only 50 minutes after taking the pill. I wasn't comfortable with what happened so I took another pill two hours later as a precaution. I still had symptoms of indigestion (burping etc.), but no other vomiting, so I assume my effectiveness should be fine now. Is that correct?
