Hi. I have had very heavy periods in the past. I was on the pill for about 3 years. In the last year, I have stopped taking the pill. After my last period 3 days after it ended I noticed a small amount of blood when I wiped, it was gone. It's been about 5 days and no more blood since. Should I be worried for any reason?

Yes this is the first time. I'm not sure what you mean by sexual healthcare

Sexual healthcare is reproductive healthcare: the kind of healthcare you get from a gynaecologist (a specialist in reproductive healthcare), or from a general practitioner when it's about your reproductive system, or from a clinic like Planned Parenthood. It includes things like check-ups to make sure everything's ok with your reproductive system, cervical smear tests, and routine testing for STIs. If you were taking the pill, you'll probably have needed to discuss your reproductive health with a doctor in order to get your prescription? When was the last time you saw a doctor for that, and did they also discuss your sexual history with you and suggest or give you any STI tests?

Yes I am updated with my sexual health. No problems that my doc mentioned.

A little breakthrough bleeding or spotting can happen: it's simply part of having a body that menstruates. If it's a one-off or only happens rarely, it's simply one of those random things a body does and no cause for concern. In your situation, it might have been a bit of blood left over from your period.

I'm not sure from your reply whether you've had recent STI tests. If you've been sexually active, we'd always recommend regular testing, to take the best care of your health - most doctors are pretty good about recommending or doing tests, but a few aren't as good as they should be, so I was just wanting to make sure you've had the best advice and care.
